For CIE 3, as part of the CPA approach, the Concrete stage (Learning by Doing) was conducted through a group activity. Learners used Dienes/Base 10 blocks to identify and represent the place value of digits in different 4D numbers. Through hands-on exploration and discussion, they developed a deeper understanding of place value concepts.
The CPA (Concrete–Pictorial–Abstract) approach has been initiated in the teaching-learning process and is being implemented in classrooms to support conceptual understanding and competency-based learning.

Winning the championship at such a young age is an incredible feat.
Sreekarthika's extraordinary growth in the game of chess continues to amaze and inspire us all. Achieving her final Women's International Master (WIM) norm at the Asian Continental Women's Chess Championship in Mongolia and finishing as the top player from the Southeast Asian region is a truly remarkable accomplishment.
To become only the second Women's International Master in Singapore's history is a testament to her exceptional talent, unwavering determination, and relentless pursuit of excellence. Each new achievement reflects not only her mastery of the game but also her resilience, discipline, and commitment to continuous improvement.
On behalf of the entire GIG International School community, I oncw again extend our heartfelt congratulations to Sreekarthika on this historic milestone. We are immensely proud of her achievements.
We wish Sreekarthika continued success as she reaches even greater heights in the years ahead.

The excitement was real at GIG International School as students participated in the much-awaited GIG Student Council Election Polling 2026!
From Head Boy & Vice Head Boy, Head Girl & Vice Head Girl, House Captains & Vice Captains to the roles of Green Captain & Vice Captain, Innovation Head & Vice Head, Health & Hygiene Head & Vice Head, and Sports Head & Vice Head — students stepped forward to lead, inspire, and serve the school community.
A special highlight this year was the participation of our senior primary students from Class 5, encouraging young learners to take on responsibility and become more accountable future leaders.
Congratulations to all our newly appointed student leaders!
