With five regular sessions and one prep class, students benefit from face-to-face interaction with experienced tutors, collaborative discussions, and focused exam preparation. The Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS) Singapore was delighted to participate in the Lunar New Year Celebratory Dinner hosted by the International Trading Institute at SMU held at the Intercontinental Singapore. The event was graced by ICS Singapore Chairperson Elaine Yu Kai, Vice Chairman Capt. Saunak Rai, and Immediate Past Chairman and Executive Committee Member Capt. Subhangshu Dutt.

ICS is committed to nurturing and supporting students in their learning journey in Commercial Shipping and has enjoyed a close partnership with SMU, contributing to student development through teaching and workshops. The evening began with a warm welcome address by Professor Bert De Reyck, Dean of the Lee Kong Chian School of Business, followed by an inspiring opening address by ITI Academic Director Associate Professor Marcus Ang.

A highlight of the event was the felicitation of outstanding students for their academic achievements, celebrating their dedication to excellence. ICS Singapore representatives engaged with students throughout the evening, sharing insights and exchanging New Year wishes in a vibrant and festive atmosphere. The event underscored the strong bond between ICS, SMU, and the next generation of shipping professionals, marking a wonderful start to the Lunar New Year.
