Seeing my pupils walk into their PSLE Oral prepared and confident is always the best feeling. 💙

Yes, I was thrilled that Transport 🚆 was one of the topics I had prepared them for, but what made me happiest was knowing that they had the skills to handle the exam — whatever topic appeared.

Through the SEAT technique, plenty of practice, model answers and vocabulary banks, my pupils learnt how to organise their thoughts, develop their ideas and speak with confidence.

Because good teaching isn't just about predicting the right topic. It's about preparing a child so well that they are ready for any topic. 🌟

From AL7 to AL5. From C5 to A2. From B4 to A1. ✨

From the very beginning, my greatest joy has been seeing pupils make remarkable progress in just a matter of months. Time and again, I've watched children who once doubted themselves achieve results they never thought possible.

Here are just a few recent success stories:

🌟 A Secondary 2 pupil improved from C5 to A2 in English. Her comprehension skills have come a long way because she finally understood how to analyse questions and craft precise answers.

🌟 A Secondary 3 boy progressed from B4 to A1, proving that with the right guidance and consistent effort, excellence is well within reach.

🌟 A Primary 6 girl moved from AL7 to AL5, gaining confidence and developing stronger language skills along the way.

Parents often ask me what makes the difference.

It isn't about giving pupils more worksheets or asking them to memorise model answers.

It starts with teaching the right answering techniques, building strong thinking skills and delivering lessons that truly engage. My lessons are interactive, lively and carefully structured to keep pupils focused. Through discussions, games, real-world examples and explicit strategies, pupils learn not just what the answer is, but why it is correct and how to arrive at it independently.

When pupils enjoy learning and are equipped with the right techniques, improvement follows naturally.

Nothing makes me prouder than seeing my pupils grow in both confidence and ability. Their achievements are a reflection of their hard work, perseverance and willingness to embrace the learning process.

This made my day! I taught this pupil in Pri 6 for 6 months and she improved from AL6 to AL4. I didn't get to teach her in Sec 1 due to a clash of schedules . In Sec 2, her mother signed up her again in January because she was failing. When I marked her first few assignments, it was clear that her skills had deteriorated. She struggled to understand the passages and lacked the techniques needed to tackle the comprehension qns.

Fast forward a few months, and she has done exceptionally well in her recent mock comprehension exam. I couldn't be prouder of her.

Moments like these remind me why I love teaching. Progress doesn't happen overnight, but with the right guidance, consistent effort, and a willingness to learn, improvement is always possible.

To my students: never let one poor result define you. As long as you are prepared to work hard and keep trying, you can achieve far more than you think.
