Strokearts was delighted to conduct a Gond Art Workshop with the support of the High Commission of India, Singapore

It was a wonderful session where participants came together to explore the colourful world of Gond Art. More than just patterns and colours, Gond Art carries stories of nature, animals, everyday life, and the traditions of central India.

Guided by artist and educator Shivali Mathur, participants learnt the basic techniques of this beautiful folk-art form and created their own unique artworks to take home.

A heartfelt thank you to the High Commission of India, Singapore, for giving us this opportunity to celebrate and share India’s rich artistic heritage with the community. Thank you to all participants for your enthusiasm and creativity.

We left with colourful artworks, happy memories, and a deeper appreciation for India’s traditional art forms.
