[First Aid and Home Nursing Competition 2022]

After a 2 year hiatus, the annual First Aid and Home Nursing Competition has returned!
Due to prevailing SMMs at the time, the competition was conducted through virtual means, whereby teams were required to record and submit their responses to the given First Aid and Home Nursing cases.

We would like to congratulate Team Nan Hua on their commendable performance and results in this year's district competition! Not to mention, two of our teams who were the Champion and First Runner Up in their respective categories in the district competition were given the honour of representing Southwest District in the National First Aid and Home Nursing Competition.
Alas, We are proud to announce that one of our teams who represented the district has emerged Second Runner Up in the national competition! πŸ†

These achievements would not have been possible without the collective hard work and dedication of our teachers, officers, alumni, mentors and competitors alike, throughout the past few months of training. Hence, we would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their unwavering support and guidance in training our teams, and the competitors for pushing through the long and arduous training leading up to the competition!

Let's all continue to strive on and achieve greater heights!

19/02/22 - Retirement of Brigade Colours and Presentation of Colours Parade

In a momentous occasion for the District and the Brigade, we are proud of many of our Nan Hua alumni who played a part in the parade! From the participating contingent, this includes the Contingent Commander, DSO(3) Wong Yong Jian, the Southwest District Quartermaster, DSO(4) Fabian Fu and the Southwest District Ensign/Orderly, SSS Soon Fang Min.

Many of our officers behind the scenes also played a role in the parade. This included officers from SJRU, our alumni NSO(2) Koh Yi Hui and Corps SO(5) Benjamin Ng. Finally, Corps SO(5) Wong Jing Yi and Corps SO(6) Lennard Ho were also involved as marshals who facilitated the day’s proceedings, capping altogether a strong representation from the Corps!

We hope to have more join on onboard our ranks and bring pride to our Corps, our District and our Brigade!

β€œLegendary Creatures”
Check out our photos from Annual Camp 2021 conducted back in March! We were glad to have been able to conduct the day camp after a year’s hiatus.

(All prevailing COVID-19 SMM measures were adhered to and masks were only removed during strenuous physical activities.)

Wishing everyone a Happy St John Day!
Let us take a moment to pay tribute to all the healthcare and frontline workers who have been working tirelessly to keep us safe, allowing us to find a semblance of normalcy! We are sure that our cadets are definitely grateful to be able to return to school and finally meet up with their peers! 🏫
At the same time, thank you to all our seniors, officers and teachers past and present who have invested much time and effort into growing our corps and our cadets. We are greatly appreciate and thankful for all your care and concern over the years 😊 and we look forward to being able to resume our trainings once again!
Finally, this fight is not over! Let’s do our own individual efforts in keeping ourselves and our loved once safe! Remember to mask up whenever you are outside 😷 and maintain personal hygiene! We hope to see everyone soon! 🎊

[5th June 2020 - Part 2] On a more bittersweet note, we also bade farewell to our longest-serving Teacher-in-Charge in recent times, Ms Lim, who has been with us for the past 1️⃣5️⃣ years. To generations of St John cadets, past and present, Ms Lim has been a nurturing figure and inspired many of us to strive to attain our goals. With her years of service, Ms Lim has been synonymous with the Corps in Nan Hua for many years. Having spent much time and effort nurturing generations of caring, thoughtful and personable leaders (many of whom have long graduated) πŸŽ“, we wish Ms Lim the very best in her future endeavors! We hope to welcome Ms Lim to visit us often in the future! πŸ˜ŠπŸ’•

[5th June 2020] Yesterday, we gathered online for our Annual Appointment Certificate Presentation Ceremony πŸ‘©πŸΌβ€πŸŽ“πŸ‘¨πŸΌβ€πŸŽ“, witnessing the handing over of appointments from our Secondary 4 NCOs to the Secondary 3 cadets. We are confident that in spite of these tough times, our newly-appointed NCOs will be able to pave a path for us and lead their juniors with passion and determination. At the same time, we would like to extend our gratitude to our Secondary 4 NCOs who have led the corps with excellence in the past year. We wish them all the best as they embark the last stretch of their Nan Hua journey - to go forth and conquer the β€˜O’ Level Examinations! πŸ’ͺ🏻 Jiayou!
