Bukit Batok Tea Appreciation Club 武吉巴督茶艺会

Bukit Batok Tea Appreciation Club is the 1st Tea Appreciation Club in Singapore. Establised in 13 August 1990 by Dr Ong Chit Chung.

In 3rd May, 1990, we started our 1st Chinese Tea Appreciation Lesson (with a total of 20 students). Since then, we have being trying to promote the art of appreciating Chinese Tea in Singapore to the public.

武吉巴督茶艺会成立于1990年８月１３日，由已故武吉巴督国会议员翁执中博士担任成立典礼嘉宾。1990年５月３日，在武吉巴督联络所所长卓荣华（已故）的引荐下，台湾中华茶艺师廖素秋小姐在武吉巴督联络所开办了第一届的中华茶艺课程，开启了中华茶艺在新加坡联络所的发展。首批的学员一共有２０位，来自社会各个阶层，他们在茶艺课程的结业典礼后，在所长的推动下，成立了新加坡联络所第一所茶艺俱乐部。

茶艺会的活动除了品茶，介绍中华茶艺外，我们也在会所开办灯谜课与举办书法活动，目的是将传统的中华文化散播开来，融入在我们的生活中，提升我们的精神品质，为国家迈向优雅的社会贡献一份绵力。
