In this The Straits Times interview, our Chairman Ms Denise Phua discusses autism, inclusion and the journey beyond age 18. Advisory: Unauthorised Street and Door-to-Door Donation Collection

Autism Association (Singapore) (AA(S)) has been informed of an individual soliciting door-to-door donations, for our special education programme at Eden School and Eden School (Campus 2).

The Association as well as our Eden Schools, Eden Children's Centre, Eden Centre for Adults and Eden Friendship Club are not conducting any door-to-door or street collection at this time. In addition, we have not authorised anyone to collect donations on our behalf. We have also not solicited door to door donations or through street collection in the past few years.

Members of the public are advised not to provide cash or personal details to anyone claiming to represent the Association.

Keppel Charity Golf 2026 brings together the community in support of causes that make a difference. One of this year's 10 beneficiaries is the Autism Association (Singapore).

For over 30 years, the Autism Association (Singapore) has supported individuals on the autism spectrum through early intervention, special education, adult programmes and community activities, helping them build skills and lead meaningful lives.

Meet Wee Rong, whose journey at Eden Centre for Adults shows the impact of patient and personalised support. Since joining the centre, he has grown more comfortable participating in activities that support his independence, while building connections with his peers.

Funds raised through Keppel Charity Golf 2026 will help strengthen adult programmes and provide individuals on the autism spectrum with the support and meaningful activities they need to live with dignity, purpose and connection.

Our junior students from Eden School had an incredible time at the Singapore National Day Parade National Education (NE) Show, where they experienced the excitement of the celebrations alongside thousands of fellow Singaporeans.

As we commemorate Singapore's 61st birthday, we're reminded that an inclusive nation is one where everyone has the opportunity to learn, participate and thrive.

It's a wrap!

Over the past 5 months, our beneficiaries from the Eden Centre for Adults (ECFA) have been stepping onto the pickleball court together with SGX Group 's volunteers. Held once a month, each session enabled them to build new skills, grow in confidence, and have plenty of fun along the way. 🏓

This month, they celebrated the completion of their introductory pickleball programme, receiving certificates in recognition of their commitment and progress. Every session was an opportunity to learn something new and challenge themselves.

Regular, structured activities are an important part of supporting individuals on the autism spectrum. With the right supports and an inclusive environment, sports like pickleball can be made accessible to everyone, creating opportunities to learn, connect and thrive.

A heartfelt thank you to SGX Group for organising this meaningful series of monthly sessions, and to Play! Pickle for warmly hosting our beneficiaries throughout the programme. Your partnership has made these experiences possible, and we look forward to many more opportunities to champion inclusion through sports. 💙
