Since its establishment in November of 1995 in Tokyo, APLF has held four General Assembly sessions every two years; the 1st General Assembly was held in Beijing in 1997, the 2nd General Assembly was held in Sydney in 1999, the 3rd General Assembly was held in Singapore in 2001 and the 4th General Assembly was held in Seoul in 2003 , and the 4th General Assembly was held in Tokyo, 2005.

The participating countries are Australia, China, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, and Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and Myanmar.

APLF actively fosters and promotes professional development of purchasing, materials and logistics / supply chain management, and its key objectives are:


  • To be the recognized voice for supply chain and logistics in the Asia Pacific Region.
