• Be physically and emotionally present, to accompany those who are going through a bad time.
• Listen carefully, trying to put yourself in the other person's shoes.
• Create a safe space, where the person feels listened to, do not criticize, judge, or advise.
• Encourage them to seek professional help.

If you want to KNOW MORE ABOUT THE SPECIAL NEEDS COMMUNITY and have the DESIRE TO SERVE but don't know what to do, this workshop is for you!
Join the workshop to:
Better understand and appreciation real needs on the ground
Ideate on innovative solutions with fellow like-minded youths
Get an opportunity to be hosted by a Community Partner to implement your ideas
We are happy to have THK EIPIC Centre, MIJ Special Education Hub and SPD as our Community Partners.
Workshop Programme
9.30am - 10am: Registration & Breakfast
10am - 10.30am: Opening & Community Partner Introduction
10.30am - 11.30am: Round 1 - Immersion & Ideation
11.30am - 12.30pm: Round 2 - Immersion & Ideation
12.30pm - 1pm: Closing!
*This session is especially suitable for youths who have always wanted to serve but not sure what the needs on the ground are and who to approach. After the session, youths are strongly encouraged to join one of the projects discussed.
