This course offers women a clear, practical and accessible guide to the essential rulings of toharah (purification) and how they apply to everyday worship. We explore the foundations of purification in Islam, including whudu’ (ablution), ghusl (ritual bathing), and tayammum (dry ablution), alongside important rulings specific to women concerning menstruation (haid), postnatal bleeding (nifas), and irregular bleeding (istihadhah).

Through evidence-based instruction from the Quran and Sunnah, this Essentials aims to equip women with the knowledge to worship with confidence and spiritual clarity. Special attention will be given to common modern-day questions, practical applications, and how to navigate differences of opinion among scholars.

By the end of this Essentials course, we will have a stronger understanding of purification and how its rulings affect key acts of worship, including prayer and fasting, equipping them to approach their daily worship with greater confidence and spiritual clarity.

The heart is the centre of a person’s faith, character, and relationship with Allah. We often focus on increasing our knowledge and perfecting our outward actions, while the Quran and Sunnah repeatedly remind us that true success depends upon the condition of the heart.

In this 4-weeks Essentials course, we introduce the timeless science of tasawwuf. 1) The Islamic discipline of spiritual purification (tazkiyat al-nafs) and 2) excellence (ihsan), as taught by the Quran, the Prophet ﷺ, and the scholars of Islam.

We explore the foundations of sincerity, repentance, gratitude, patience, remembrance of Allah, and reliance upon Him, while learning to identify and treat spiritual diseases such as arrogance, envy, ostentation, heedlessness, excessive attachment to the world, and the distractions of modern life.

When disciplining a child, where do we draw the line?

The Islamic tradition does not teach us to discipline children through anger, harshness, or unchecked punishment.

The Prophet ﷺ taught us to show mercy to our young, while also giving guidance on how children should be taught and disciplined.

So what do the scholars say about the boundaries of discipline? When is it appropriate? What are the conditions? And what principles must never be overlooked?

These are important questions for every parent, educator, and caregiver.

Join us for our upcoming Masterclass as we explore the Islamic approach to disciplining children with guidance from the Quran, Sunnah, and scholarly tradition.

Because raising children is not simply about correcting behaviour. It is about raising them with wisdom, mercy, and responsibility.

Kosher ≠ Halal.

Travelling where halal options are limited? Is kosher food a suitable halal alternative?

While kosher and halal dietary laws share some similarities, they are not identical. What matters is more than the label, it’s the ingredients, preparation, production process, and the principles of Islamic law.

So when halal-certified options aren’t available, don’t rely on logos alone. Learn the principles, check what you’re consuming, and make an informed decision.

Because understanding halal goes beyond simply recognising a symbol or a logo.

One of the greatest blessings Allah has bestowed upon humanity is the blessing of a home. A home provides shelter, privacy and security. It protects us from heat and cold, shields us from danger and gives us a place in which we can rest, worship, raise our families and find tranquillity.

Allah says: “And Allah has made your homes a place of rest for you.” (al-Nahl:80)

This course offers practical Islamic guidance on protecting the home physically, morally and spiritually, establishing worship within it, managing privacy, decoration and technology responsibly, and strengthening relationships with family members, guests and neighbours.

Whether you are planning to purchase a home, newly married, raising children, living with housemates or seeking to improve the atmosphere of your present household, this course offers practical Islamic guidance for transforming an ordinary residence into a place of faith, tranquillity, mercy and barakah.

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger ﷺ said,
“If one give in charity what equals one date-fruit from the honestly earned money and Allah accepts only the honestly earned money, Allah takes it in His right (hand) and then enlarges its reward for that person (who has given it), as anyone of you brings up his baby horse, so much s that it becomes as big as a mountain.”

Throughout this season of Conversations With God, we discover how the Quran develops a believer’s awareness of both the apparent and the hidden: the seen and unseen, causes of guidance and misguidance, the reality of the jinn, the influence of shaytan, the importance of sincerity, and the certainty that Allah alone possesses complete knowledge of the unseen.

Alongside a detailed tafsir of both surahs, the sessions will draw practical lessons for the contemporary life while helping us navigate trial and cultivate faith in a world increasingly preoccupied with what is merely visible.

Join us on Sundays for eight-weeks of reflection on how these two surahs improve our understanding of the world around us and the unseen realities that ultimately determine our success in this life and the next.

Beginning 16 Aug, join us in-person at Centropod @ Changi or livestream online on Youtube on Sunday mornings. Sign up in 🔗 or join our Telegram channel 📱 to receive notifications.
