With numerous disciplines, countless books, and generations of scholars spanning over fourteen centuries, where does one begin? How do the various Islamic sciences relate to one another? And what is the most effective way to progress from a seeker of knowledge to a lifelong student of the faith?

This course serves as a roadmap to the rich tradition of Islamic scholarship. Be introduced to the major Islamic sciences, tracing their development from the time of the Prophet ﷺ through the great scholarly traditions that preserved, refined, and transmitted them across generations. Beyond definitions and history, the MasterClass will also introduce participants to the landmark texts and towering scholars that shaped each field, providing a deeper appreciation of the intellectual legacy of Islam.

Most importantly, learn how to navigate this vast landscape of knowledge, developing a practical framework for seeking sacred knowledge with clarity, balance, and purpose.

Love is often celebrated as the foundation of a relationship, but the Quran teaches that love alone is not enough.

Through the profound guidance of Surah al-Tahrim, Surah al-Talaq and Surah al-Mulk, we discover that the strongest relationships are built upon something deeper. That it is build upon a shared commitment to faith, obedience to Allah, and mutual aspirations for success in this life and the next.

In this season, we explore how these three surahs address some of the most intimate challenges within marriage and family life: conflict, disappointment, loyalty, sacrifice, and separation.

Through the stories, commands, and lessons contained within them, we will reflect on the delicate balance between love and principle, learning that true love does not lead us away from Allah but draws us closer to Him.

Whether relationships flourish or falter, the believer is reminded that faith remains the ultimate compass that guides the heart.

Join us in this season as we uncover timeless lessons on building relationships rooted in taqwa, nurturing a shared vision of righteousness, and understanding how faith transforms love from a fleeting emotion into a path towards divine pleasure and eternal companionship.

See you on Sundays ☀️, beginning 14 Jun.

Note: Date changes to this course. InsyaAllah will begin on 16 June.

Journey into the life of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Return to the one soul who walked this earth with mercy, patience, courage and trust in Allah.

Beyond people, dates and historical events, this course uncovers the deeply human moments of the Prophet’s ﷺ life: his grief and losses, his struggles and sacrifices, his compassion for people, and his unwavering devotion to Allah through every season of life.

Reflect on practical lessons through every step of his journey. How to remain faithful during hardship, how to respond to pain without losing character, how to carry responsibility with sincerity, and how to build a heart connected to Allah in times of uncertainty.

The sirah is not merely a story to be studied but a roadmap for the wounded, the searching, the overwhelmed, and the hopeful.

In the Footsteps of the Beloved is a chance to reconnect with the Prophet ﷺ not as a distant figure in history, but as the guide whose footsteps still illuminate the path to Allah today.

Gratitude (shukr) is often reduced to a phrase on the tongue as ‘alhamdulillah’, uttered in passing and sometimes detached from the depth it was meant to carry.

Patience (sabr) is often misunderstood as silent endurance, a quiet waiting with a heavy heart.

But in reality, shukr and sabr are not isolated virtues. They are two halves of a profound spiritual state that shape how a believer sees, feels, and lives.

The Prophets (may peace be upon them) embodied both shukr and sabr, not only when blessings were abundant, but also when tested with loss, delay and uncertainty. Gratitude allowed them to recognize Allah’s mercy in what was given, and patience anchored them in trust when things were withheld.

Together with Ustaz Mizi Wahid and Ustaz Taufiq RNB, this talk explores gratitude and patience more than reactions to ease and hardship as lenses of clarity.

We journey along with reflections from the Quran and lived realities and uncover how shukr and sabr changes the perception of the believer. Navigating confusion into certainty, restlessness into contentment, and trials into pathways of closeness to Allah.

It is not simply about saying “thank you” or “holding on” anymore, but, it is also about becoming a servant who is able to recognize that every moment, whether ease or hardship, is an opportunity to draw ourselves nearer to Him.

Join us at Masjid Sultan, Auditorium on Sunday 12 July from 1.30pm to 4.30pm.

Narrated Yazid ibn Ruman from ‘Urwa, ‘Aishah R.A. said that the Prophet ﷺ said to her,
‘Oh ‘Aishah! Were your nation not close to the Pre-Islamic Period of Ignorance, I would have had the Ka’bah demolished and would have included in it the portion which had been left, and would have made it at a level with the ground and would have made two doors for it, one towards the east and the other towards the west, and then by doing this it would have been built on the foundations laid by Ibrahim’.

That was what urged Ibn Al-Zubair R.A. to rebuild the Ka’bah.

Jarir R.A. said, ‘I saw Ibn Al-Zubair when he demolished and rebuilt the Ka’bah and included in it a portion of Al-Hijr (the unroofed portion of Ka’bah which is at present in the form of a compound towards the northwest of the Ka’bah). I saw the original foundations of Ibrahim A.S. which were of stones resembling the humps of camels’.

So Jarir R.A. asked Yazid, ‘Where was the place of those stones?’

Jarir R.A. said, ‘I will just now show it to you’.

So Jarir R.A. accompanied Yazid and entered Al-Hijr, and Jarir R.A. pointed to a place and said,
‘Here it is’.

Jarir R.A. said,
‘It appeared to me about six cubits from Al-Hijr or so’.”

The Prophet ﷺ said,
“The best supplication is the supplication on the Day of ʿArafah, and the best of what I and the prophets before me have said is:
‘There is no deity except Allah, alone, without partner. To Him belongs all dominion and praise, and He is over all things competent.’”
