In this bootcamp, your child will:
Revise filtered past-year papers and mock papers, focusing on high-value questions that commonly appear.

Practise with a wide range of challenging problem sums, including application and higher-order thinking types.

Learn how examiners set different forms of questions and the common traps to avoid.

Understand the answering techniques examiners expect, including how to show clear working steps, logical reasoning, and accurate presentation of answers.

Build confidence through guided practice and targeted feedback.

This intensive revision will not only strengthen their content knowledge but also sharpen their exam skills so that they know how to solve effectively, not just attempt every question blindly.

The Transport System of Plants

Plants, just like humans, need a way to move important substances to all parts of their body. This is called the transport system. It helps the plant stay alive, grow, and make food.

1. Roots absorb water and minerals
-The roots take in water and mineral salts from the soil.
-These are important for making food and keeping the plant healthy.

2. Xylem carries water upwards
-Inside the stem, there are special tubes called xylem.
-They carry water and minerals from the roots up to the stem and leaves.

3. Leaves make food
-The leaves use sunlight, carbon dioxide, and water to make food by photosynthesis.
-The food made is mainly in the form of sugar.

4. Phloem carries food
-Another set of tubes, called phloem, carry the food made in the leaves to the stem, roots, flowers, and fruits.
-Why this system is important

5. Without the transport system, only the roots would get water and minerals, and only the leaves would get food.
-Other parts of the plant would not survive.

The transport system ensures every part of the plant gets what it needs to stay alive.
