We had the privilege of welcoming back our very own TJC alumna, Ms Ng Boon Yian, for an enlightening sharing session! She offered invaluable insights on navigating complex global dynamics — from maintaining strong bilateral relationships to standing firm on Singapore’s national interests in the conduct of Singapore’s foreign policy. 🇸🇬💡🇸🇬

Most importantly, Ms Ng shed light on the crucial role youths play in actively shaping Singapore’s future. Her sharing was a powerful reminder that real growth extends far beyond the classroom — challenging us to stay curious, broaden our horizons, and proactively seek out opportunities to grow. 📚✨

A huge shoutout to our moderators, Aksh*tha and Lauren from CG 01/26, for steering such a meaningful conversation! 🙌🔥

🥇 A GOLDEN PERFORMANCE! 🎶✨

The TJC IP Symphonic Band recently took the stage at the 10th Singapore International Band Festival 2026 — and what a performance it was!

🏆 Gold Award — 83.33 points
🥉 2nd Runner-Up, Division 2B

Our musicians poured their passion into compelling renditions of A Trishaw Ride by Yeo Chow Shern and Like the Eagle, We Soar and Rise by Satoshi Yagisawa. 🎵🦅

Beyond the competition, the band also had the opportunity to deepen their musicality through an inspiring workshop led by adjudicator Mr Damrih Banawitayakit from Thailand. It was a wonderful experience of learning, performing and, most importantly, making music together. 💫

A heartfelt thank you to our College Leaders, band tutors and conductor, Mr Neo, for their unwavering guidance and encouragement. ❤️

Here’s to more music, more memories and more moments to soar! 🎶✨

Our IP3 and IP4 Literature students recently represented TJC at the National Schools Literature Festival, where they embraced the challenge of debating unseen poems against teams from across Singapore.

Thinking on their feet, they analysed complex texts, defended their interpretations and crafted persuasive arguments—showcasing not only sharp critical thinking, but also a genuine love for literature.

Beyond the competition, the festival was an opportunity to exchange ideas, gain fresh perspectives and connect with fellow literature enthusiasts, including local playwright Faith Ng and literature educator Dr Dennis Yeo.

Here's to reading closely, questioning deeply, arguing thoughtfully, and celebrating the many conversations that literature inspires.

From paintbrushes to printmaking, pottery to performance, Artitude has been TJC’s celebration of creativity in all its forms. 🎨✨

Take a look back at Artitude from 2023 to 2026—four years of students exploring new artistic mediums, discovering fresh ways to express themselves, and creating alongside one another through a vibrant range of hands-on experiences.

More than a showcase of artistic techniques, Artitude is a reminder of the transformative power of the arts: to inspire curiosity, build confidence, foster collaboration, and create meaningful connections that extend beyond the studio and stage.

Here’s to many more years of imagination, creativity and the joy of making.

As we look forward to celebrating the nation this Friday, let’s do a quick rewind of our exuberant Racial Harmony Day celebrations last month!

Our TJC campus was awash with colour as the week-long series of Racial Harmony Day activities culminated in a festive display of our nation’s signature multi culturalism — students and staff came to school in their ethnic best and were decked out in vibrant sarees, changshan, cheongsams, kurtas, kebayas and more! ✨

The College’s foyer was buzzing with students queueing for live food stations featuring traditional snacks such as ice balls, kacang putih and traditional biscuits 😋

And our ever supportive parent support group PEERS also drew hordes of students eager to try out henna decorations, learn about the varied scents and flavours of Chinese tea leaves and partake in traditional games and crafts. It was truly a treat for the senses!

The value of Racial Harmony Day extends beyond just merriment and celebrations and continues to be an important reminder that it is the very diversity and plurality of Singaporeans that makes us whole 🇸🇬✨

👕🎨🧥 Celebrating Youth, Celebrating You - TJ Me-Day

To round off our Youth Day celebrations, TJCians came to College dressed in outfits that best reflected who they are — whether it was something that represented themselves, their class, their CCA, or simply what made them feel most comfortable and confident.

The result? A vibrant tapestry of personalities, interests, cultures, and friendships that reminded us there is no single way to be a TJCian.

What makes our College special is not that we are all the same, but that each of us brings something unique to our community. It is this diversity of experiences, passions, and perspectives that strengthens our College and makes TJC the place we proudly call home.

As we celebrated the achievements of our students and the friendships that have been forged throughout the year, we were reminded that youth is about having the courage to be yourself while embracing and celebrating others.

Here's to the energy, creativity, and spirit of our TJCians. 💙
