🐎 DAY 4 | Year of the Horse brilliance, pearls, Fei Cui and ferries! 🐎

Today was all about serious creativity and serious stones.
From the 2026 Global Zodiac Design Competition (Year of the Horse) pieces presented with the Asia Jewelry Culture Design and Crafts Association, to the announcement of the upcoming Year of the Goat edition, the future of jewellery design looks wild in the best way.

Everywhere we turned:
- Jewellers offering gems, pearls, natural materials and some of the most spectacular finished pieces of the entire trip
- Dazzling creations capturing strength, motion and personality in totally unexpected ways

Our JDMIS group also made a special stop at the GIA booth for their educational pearl showcase, then dived into talks on Fei Cui (the modern trade term now used in Hong Kong for jadeite-type jade) and AI in jewellery.

And because it’s not a real Hong Kong jewellery trip without it, we wrapped up the day with proper Hong Kong food and a ferry ride across the harbour – city lights, tired feet, full hearts, and minds overflowing with inspiration.
