Entrepreneur Spotlight: Meet Jennifer Ng

20+ years as a musician and educator, from early childhood classes to performing for seniors and international artistes at the Esplanade. This year, Jennifer Ng turned her passion into purpose, founding Pulse & Prana and The Reset Method, bringing science-backed sound healing, drumming, and nervous-system-based wellness to individuals and corporate teams battling burnout.

Our students sat down with her for an exclusive interview, curious how she built a wellness business rooted in real science, not just trends. Two takeaways stood out:

Clarification Regarding Recent News Reports - 7 August 2026

ERC Institute wishes to provide further clarification following the conclusion of the recent court proceedings involving former director Mr Andy Ong Siew Kwee.

The matters referred to in the court proceedings date back to 2012 and occurred before the current ownership and management of ERC Institute.

Since its acquisition by a Japanese entity in 2019, ERC Institute has operated under a new ownership, governance and leadership structure. The Institute today is independently managed and remains focused on its responsibilities to our students, partners, staff and wider community.

We remain firmly committed to upholding high standards of integrity, governance and educational excellence. Our priority continues to be providing quality education and a supportive learning environment for our students.

We appreciate the continued trust and confidence of our students, partners and stakeholders.

Nagoya University Study Tour!

For yet another year, we welcomed 30 students from Nagoya University's School of Informatics for their annual study tour. A 1.5-day intensive English program right here at ERC Institute.

Led by Ms Ranjini and Ms Diviya, the sessions were packed with
think role-plays, group discussions, and lots of real conversation practice.

The result? A classroom full of laughter, teamwork, and genuine progress.

A big thank you to Nagoya University for choosing ERCI once again.

This partnership opens up some exciting opportunities for Hannan students:

At the heart of ERC Institute's DNA is our Entrepreneurship Resource Centre and we're proud to kick off a new interview series where our students sit down with real startup founders and industry leaders to learn firsthand what it takes to build and grow in today's world.

Our BABM and ADBM students recently had the opportunity to interview
Jojo Boquiren, an experienced IT professional with over 30 years in project management and software development, currently an independent app developer, Jojo Boquiren generously shared his experiences, insights, and words of encouragement with our students.

Key takeaways from the session:
1️⃣ Think critically. The best solutions come from being unafraid to question, probe, and challenge assumptions.

2️⃣ Stay current. In tech, standing still means falling behind keep learning to avoid an "obsolete mindset."

Over the past few months, our students at ERC Institute have been taking part in the Young Trailblazers 2026 Hackathon, tackling a real-world environmental challenge:
How can we reduce water pollution caused by everyday household cleaning products and personal care items before they enter our waterways?

After months of research, brainstorming, and collaboration, our team reached an important milestone today they presented their prototype at the event, alongside secondary schools, junior colleges, and higher education institutions. We're proud that ERCI was the only Private Education Institution (PEI) represented.

Beyond the prototype itself, this journey has sharpened our students' critical thinking, teamwork, design thinking, and problem-solving skills the kind of experiential learning we believe in at ERCI. We're incredibly proud of their dedication.

We were honoured to welcome representatives from the Hakuhodo Foundation, a Japanese public interest foundation dedicated to advancing child education, language, and cultural understanding since 1970.

They paid a visit to ERC Institute to interview our students sharing their perspectives on the differences between the local government education system and their current tertiary education experience.

Students highlighted how learning at ERC Institute encourages open discussions, collaborative group work, and interactive classroom engagement. They also shared how industry speaker sessions and company visits provide valuable exposure to real-world working environments, helping them gain practical insights beyond the classroom.

The flexibility to express ideas freely and engage closely with lecturers has also empowered students to develop greater confidence, independence, and maturity in their learning journey.
