Over the weekend, I spent a delightful evening with a bunch of quietly passionate homeschooling teens talking about words, stories and how they weave their magic throughout each stage of my life, forming tapestries and leaving memories.
The common denominators between these teens and me are that we are introverts, and that we believe in the magic of words. Many of them have been working on their writing craft studiously for a long time.
It is evident that these teens have a strong sense of self for their age. Kudos to their mummies for their patience, love and their conviction in venturing down the less-trodden path to give them such cherished space to explore their growing up years, away from the pressure cooker mainstream education.
May these teens continue to have lots of fun learning and discovering the best versions of themselves, through their words :)

I closed 2025 by attending the Sacred Rest Retreat held at . It was everything that I needed and more.
Facilitated by soul coaches (as I like to refer them to), I felt I could start 2026 with a little more clarity, and a little more bravery. And I thank Tania and Youmin for holding space for all the retreatants.
Capturing all the little moments here at the retreat which made my heart flutter!
Happy New Year!

Had my first bilingual storytelling for my picture book "Murphy, See How You Shine!" <菲菲,你真棒!> And what an interesting experience it was, traversing between the lands of the 2 languages with the children and parents!
So glad to have the support of fellow author friends too! Nothing beats being able to connect 🥰
Thank you
for having me!

I've always been grateful that I grew up learning 2 languages -- English and Chinese. That I can at any moment in time switch from one language to another based on my heart's desire never fails to make me feel at home, wherever I am.
Am thrilled hence to be invited by to have a
bilingual storytelling next Sunday! I will be sharing the story of Murphy from my picture book "Murphy, See How You Shine!"
For lovers of stories and languages, hope to see you there! :)

has a new home and what a pleasure it is to visit it! It was meant to be a long overdue catchup with .soon but I also love killing 2 birds with 1 stone.
Be Kind SG's new home is also a workshop space to serve people with disabilities and their caregivers. And how lovely it is to see gentle touches at every corner -- be it the cushions on already-padded foldable seats, as well as the clock that is placed at a lower than usual spot -- all ready to serve individuals with different needs.
May Be Kind SG shine its light further in the neighbourhood of Bukit Gombak!:)
