Over the weekend, our students from TheWildSide (Emeline, Erica and Panchakshari) represented RGS at the 15th edition of the Festival of Biodiversity, Singapore’s largest annual celebration of biodiversity and nature conservation 🌿🦋🦜.
As part of the Nature Society Singapore (NSS) booth team, they engaged visitors and shared about the Every Singaporean a Naturalist (ESN) programme, including how it is implemented in RGS, raising awareness of Singapore’s native biodiversity and ongoing conservation efforts.
Through this experience, Erica shared: “Getting the chance to share our work with Nature Society Singapore with the public & Minister Lee was truly a special experience! It was also meaningful to educate the public on how they could support biodiversity conservation in their daily lives.”
A big thank you to NSS for inviting our students to be part of the festival, and for providing them with a meaningful platform to share their passion for nature with the wider community! 💚🖤🤍

On 2 June, our Peer Support Board (PSB) Friends of Singa (FOS) Organising Team (OT) visited the Bishan SBS bus interchange to present tokens of appreciation to the bus drivers. From snacks to heartfelt letters, these gifts were contributed by our RGS students to thank the drivers for their hard work and dedication each day.
In line with the OT’s theme of “Inclusivity” this year, this simple gesture carried the gratitude of many and helped the bus drivers feel appreciated and valued by our community🌟

Congratulations to our three students on receiving the Singapore Silent Heroes Student Award 2026! 🌟
Presented by the Civilians Association (Singapore), the award recognises students who have demonstrated extraordinary compassion, service, and commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others, often without seeking recognition or reward.
We are proud to see our students recognised for the quiet yet meaningful impact they have made through their actions.
Reflecting on what this recognition means to them, our students shared:
Eng Yu Xuan (405) - “I am grateful for the different insightful lessons I have learnt through interacting with people of all sorts of backgrounds.”
Azelea Li Yun’En (411) - “I look forward to serving and contributing to the community further!”
Charlene Poh Qing Wei (413) - “Every act of service no matter small or big creates lasting change”.

From AI and robotics to entrepreneurship and smart learning, our students and staff had an enriching week in Shenzhen during an educational immersion trip from 10–16 May 2026. 🇨🇳✨
Through visits to leading companies such as Tencent, iFLYTEK, SenseTime, Mindray, and UBTECH Robotics, our students gained valuable insights and engaged in meaningful cultural exchange on the thoughtful use of technology in everyday life.
A heartfelt thank you to all partners and stakeholders, including RGS Board of Governors member Mr Hoong Yik Luen and our alumna Ms Lee Zi Xin for their generous support in making this experience possible. 💚🖤🤍
“The Shenzhen Immersion Trip gave me a deeper understanding of how technology and innovation can improve people’s lives and drive a country’s development, and highlighted the importance of research, creativity, and long term planning in achieving progress. Furthermore, visiting places like the Shenzhen Science and Technology Museum and Futian Foreign Language Middle School allowed me to experience Shenzhen’s culture of innovation and the importance of adapting to a rapidly changing world.”
