History of Junyuan Secondary School

Focus on School Values -

Junyuan Secondary School was established in January 1999 to serve the Tampines community. Mrs Cecilia Lee, the first principal, charted the directions for the school with a strong focus on School Values. Beginning with just 280 students and 17 staff, the school population grew to more than 1000 within a few years. Nuturing Champs @ Ju

Our Boys’ Brigade members had an enriching 2D1N Company Training Camp last weekend, filled with learning, teamwork and memorable experiences! 💪⛺

From polishing boots and ironing uniforms to bonding over meals and rest time together, the boys learnt valuable lessons in discipline, responsibility and caring for one another.

The camp also featured an exciting sailing experience at Marina Bay ⛵ and Gundam-building activities that sharpened their focus, patience and problem-solving skills. Well done to our BB boys for stepping out of their comfort zones and showing great teamwork, resilience and commitment throughout the camp! 👏

A big congratulations to our Secondary 4 participants (Aloysius, Ethan, Nia and Javier) who took part in this year’s NUS Geography Challenge 2026! They have made the school proud with their teamwork, resilience and passion for Geography throughout the competition. Special mention goes to Aloysius (4E), who clinched the Silver Medal in the Individual Round! Good job, Junyuan Champions!

Our 27th Awards Day was a celebration of commitment, perseverance, and excellence.

Yesterday, we honoured the achievements of our students and staff — recognising the effort, discipline, and dedication poured into their learning, teaching and the pursuit of excellence.

More than just results, it was a moment filled with energy, pride, and vibrant celebration. A true reflection of the spirit of resilience that defines us as a community.

Here’s to every milestone achieved and every journey still unfolding.

They fought hard. They hit hard. And they never backed down.

Right to the final whistle, our boys stood their ground and proved they were worthy opponents.

It didn’t go our way this time, but the heart, resilience and fight they showed — that’s what defines them.

You may not have taken the title, but you’ve earned our respect.

Heads up, boys. We go again.

From classrooms to community — the spirit of giving at JYSS continues 🌙✨

As part of our Hari Raya Celebration 2026, our school community came together once again to give back. Through a donation drive led by Class 3C, all items were successfully delivered to Riqmah Putraz Kindness Corner.

To our students, parents, and teachers — thank you, truly. Your willingness to give, to care, and to look beyond yourselves reflects the very best of our community. Every contribution, big or small, carries kindness, sincerity, and hope.

Small acts, big impact — a tradition of care and compassion that continues to grow. 💚
