More than two decades ago, one of our earliest learners walked through the doors of Fun Learners’ School as a young primary school student.

Back then, she was simply one of the children we hoped to guide, encourage and help grow.

Years passed. She completed her studies, found her own path and stepped into adulthood. Yet, even after all this time, she still keeps in touch and returns to visit the teachers who were once part of her journey. 🩵

And perhaps that is one of the quietest, most beautiful reminders of what it means to be a teacher.

Education is often measured in marks, grades and results. These things matter, of course. But years later, the numbers may fade from memory.

What often remains is something much more personal. A learner may remember the teacher who stayed patient when they struggled. The teacher who noticed when they were discouraged. The teacher who told them, “You can do this,” at a time when they were not yet able to believe it themselves. The teacher who made them feel seen, supported and capable of becoming more.

At Fun Learners’ School, we have always believed that teaching is about more than preparing learners for the next test or examination. It is about helping them build confidence, develop character and discover the courage to keep moving forward.

To us, that may be one of the greatest privileges of education — to know that, for a small part of someone’s life, you had the opportunity to walk alongside them and help shape the person they would one day become.

This Teachers’ Day, our hearts are filled with gratitude for every teacher who chooses to do just that. 💐

Thank you for the lessons you teach, but even more so, thank you for the confidence you build, the encouragement you give and the lives you quietly touch along the way. Happy Teachers’ Day. 🌷

Does a good PSLE composition need to be filled with impressive words and memorised phrases? ✍️

Not necessarily.

Strong creative writing begins with:

✅ Accurate grammar
✅ A clear and engaging plot
✅ Well-developed characters and conflict
✅ The ability to bring a story to life

Good vocabulary is valuable—but only when it is used naturally and serves the story. Most importantly, students need to learn the art and craft of storytelling.

🌱 School can sometimes feel like a lot for children — especially when homework, tests and expectations start piling up.

When children feel overwhelmed, pushing harder is not always the answer. Sometimes, what helps most is a little space to reset, encouragement to take things one step at a time, and reassurance that they are supported.

A difficult day does not erase the progress a child has already made. What matters is helping them regain confidence, refocus, and keep moving forward. ✨

This matters throughout the school year — and for families with P6 children, it may feel especially relevant as PSLE draws closer. The goal isn’t to remove every bit of pressure, but to help children feel steady enough to keep going, one step at a time.

With PSLE approaching, the final stretch is a valuable time for Primary 6 learners to revisit key skills, identify common mistakes and become more confident in applying what they have learnt.

📚✨ Our 2026 PSLE Final Sprint Course focuses on targeted practice and guided revision across all four core subjects.

Beyond completing more questions, learners will work on how to approach different PSLE question types, select suitable answering strategies, identify and address common misconceptions, and learn from teacher feedback.

The aim is simple: to help students strengthen their existing skills, reduce avoidable mistakes and walk into their PSLE feeling more prepared and confident. 💪

距离 PSLE 只剩大约一个月了。越到这个时候，孩子和家长难免会有一点紧张。但最后阶段最重要的，不是急着做更多，而是把已经学过的内容好好整理起来，知道接下来该把时间和精力放在哪里。🩵

在这堂 PSLE 华文写作班 里，晓燕老师陪学生一起翻开她的作文文件夹。里面有平时写过的作文、自己标记下来的好词好句，也有认真誊写过的作品。

一篇篇重新翻回去，其实很有意义。看到好词好句，不只是把它记下来，而是慢慢学会：什么时候适合用？怎样用才自然？怎样真正变成自己的表达？再看看以前写过的作文，孩子也能更清楚地发现——哪些地方已经比以前进步了，哪些部分还可以趁 PSLE 前再练得更扎实一些。

我们希望孩子在最后这一个月，不只是看到“还有多少要复习”，也能看见：原来，我一路已经学会了这么多。

有方向地复习，把该巩固的巩固好，把还不熟的地方再练一次，带着更踏实的准备和信心走进考场。💪

华文写作只是 PSLE 准备的一部分。接下来的 2026 PSLE Master Class，我们也会继续陪孩子把英文、数学、科学和华文的最后复习，一步一步做好。

In our PSLE Chinese Composition class, Ms Xiao Yan revisited her student’s writing folder with her, looking through past compositions, useful expressions she had marked, and pieces she had rewritten.

It is a simple but meaningful habit: look back, notice what has improved, strengthen what is still uncertain, and learn how to turn good expressions into your own writing.

We want students to enter PSLE recognising not only what they still need to work on, but also how far they have already come. 💪

Chinese Composition is one part of that journey. Our 2026 PSLE Master Class continues this focused preparation across all four subjects, helping students make the most of their final stretch before PSLE.
