With the September holidays just around the corner, our Sec 4 students took a break from their busy schedules to come together for an afternoon of fun and bonding! 🎉😄 The session kicked off with an energetic Telephone Challenge, bringing plenty of laughter and excitement as students put their communication skills to the test!

Students then wrote heartfelt encouragement cards for their classmates 💌, sharing words of appreciation and support as they journey through their final year together.

The afternoon wrapped up with a photo-taking session with their Form Teachers, capturing precious class moments and memories to treasure. 📸✨ Students also brought along their digital cameras for the session, adding a fun touch to the experience!

It was an afternoon filled with laughter, friendship and meaningful memories. As our Sec 4s head into the final stretch, we wish them all the best! Continue to support one another, treasure these moments and finish strong! 💪🌟

🎉 Congratulations to Kyla Yoong of 3E for achieving High Distinction in the Live On Festival (LOF) 2026 Essay Competition – Senior Category (Secondary 3–5)! 🏆

Organised by the National Organ Transplant Unit, Ministry of Health, the Live On Festival encourages youths to use art and creative writing to raise awareness about organ donation and transplantation.
This year’s competition saw an impressive 3,200+ essay submissions and 2,400+ artworks from 129 schools.

We are proud to celebrate our alumnus, Wang Hankun, who has been awarded the Prime Minister’s Book Prize (PMBP) 2026! 🎉

Established in 1974, the Prime Minister’s Book Prize recognises students who have achieved excellence in bilingualism. This year, 39 students across the primary, secondary and pre-university levels received this prestigious award.

Currently studying at Hwa Chong Institution, Hankun continues to build on his journey beyond AHS and distinguishes himself through his dedication to learning.
The award was presented at the Special Awards Presentation Ceremony on 31 August 2026 at the National University of Singapore’s University Cultural Centre, with our Principal, Mr Alvin Lim, in attendance to celebrate this proud moment with Hankun.

Congratulations, Hankun! We are heartened to see our alumni continuing to excel and pursue their best beyond AHS. ❤️

Our boys fought hard all the way to the final game, bringing home the silver and making AHS proud!

A fantastic achievement by our girls, who competed at the highest level and finished among the Top 4 nationally!

To all our players and coaches who poured their hearts into this journey, your dedication, grit and team spirit have truly shone through. We are incredibly proud of what you have achieved! 💙

我校中三学生于8月18日有幸参与由著名导演陈哲艺执导的新加坡本土电影《我们不是陌生人》的特别放映活动。
活动旨在鼓励学生接触更多本土电影，在欣赏作品的同时拓展视野、丰富生活体验，并培养想象力与思辨能力。💡

电影以不同角度呈现家庭、责任、选择与成长等课题，引导学生深入思考。 放映结束后，学生也有机会与导演及演员许家乐面对面交流，从他们的分享中进一步了解电影创作与演艺行业，并感受语言与表达的魅力。✨

On 18 August, our Secondary 3 students enjoyed a special screening of We Are All Strangers, directed by acclaimed Singaporean filmmaker Anthony Chen.

The experience continued beyond the big screen, as students got to hear directly from Director Anthony Chen and Actor Javier Tan about the stories behind the film and their experiences in the creative industry.

From watching a local story unfold on screen to hearing from the people who brought it to life, the session offered students a different way to discover and appreciate Singaporean films. ✨

On 16 August 2026, our NCC cadets had the privilege of performing at the Fengshan National Day Dinner at Singapore EXPO.

Our Freestyle Drill (FSD) Squad and Precision Drill Squad (PDS) put up impressive performances, showcasing their discipline, precision and teamwork through energetic choreography and coordinated rifle drills.

Well done to all our FSD and PDS cadets for their hard work and commitment, and for representing AHS with pride! 👏

Celebrating with Gratitude ❤️

We are proud to celebrate our alumnus, Elijah Pio Tan (Class of 2024), who was recently featured in Lianhe Zaobao for his continued pursuit of engineering and technology.

Elijah developed his interest in science, mechanics and engineering during his years at AHS. With the guidance and encouragement of his teachers, coupled with his own hard work and perseverance, that interest continued to grow.

Now studying at St Joseph’s Institution, Elijah has received the Engineering and Tech Programme Scholarship (ETPS) for the second consecutive year. In his interview, he reflected on the importance of learning from setbacks, adapting and finding new ways forward.
As we Celebrate with Gratitude, we are heartened to see our alumni continue to learn, grow and pursue their passions beyond AHS.

Congratulations, Elijah! May you continue to pursue your passions and inspire your AHS juniors to persevere and strive towards their goals!
