We are delighted to announce a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Singapore Repertory Theatre (SRT), one of Singapore's leading arts organisations and a passionate advocate for theatre and arts education.
At SJI International Preschool, we believe creativity is an essential part of how young children learn, communicate and develop confidence. We are therefore excited to be working with SRT to deepen arts education and creative learning opportunities within our preschool community.
Together, we look forward to exploring a range of initiatives, including educator professional development in arts integration, the Singapore Wolf Trap classroom residency programme, speech and drama opportunities for preschool children, holiday drama programmes, and future collaborative learning experiences for students, educators and families.
This MOU reflects a shared commitment to holistic education and the important role the arts can play in nurturing curiosity, imagination, empathy and self-expression from an early age.
Our sincere thanks to Charlotte Nors and David Tan from Singapore Repertory Theatre, and to Dr Michael Johnston and Dr Geraldine Teo-Zuzarte from SJI International and SJI International Preschool, for their vision and commitment in bringing this collaboration to life. We look forward to the exciting journey ahead!

Our young superheroes take the stage! 🦸♀️✨
From the opening prayer to the main stage, our Preschoolers truly shone at this year's Founder’s Day Dinner. The evening commenced with a beautiful moment of unity, as two of our very own Preschoolers joined their Elementary and High School peers to lead the community in the One LaSalle Prayer.
Our Kindergarteners then stole the show with a joyful performance of 'My Own Superhero' alongside their dedicated teachers.
Taking to the big stage in special t-shirts spelling out “BE YOUR OWN SUPERHERO”, the children brought immense warmth, energy, and confidence to the celebration through their heartfelt performance, which reminded us that each of us has our own unique superpowers and that together, we have the ability to make a meaningful impact on the people and world around us.
This wonderful showcase beautifully reflects the joy and positive belief we strive to nurture in our youngest learners. Seeing them shine in front of our wider Lasallian family – including students, staff, governors, parents, and alumni – was a fantastic celebration of our school spirit and a truly memorable moment for everyone in attendance. ❤️

SJI International Preschool is proud to receive the Healthy Meals in Preschool Programme (HMPP) Enduring Excellence Award from the Health Promotion Board. 🥇🍎
This recognition reflects our continued commitment to creating a healthy and nurturing environment for our youngest learners through balanced meals, positive mealtime experiences, and the development of healthy habits from an early age.
At SJI International Preschool, wellbeing is an important part of every child’s learning journey, and we are grateful to our educators and culinary team who make this possible each day. ✨

From newspapers to… Udon noodles? 🍜🗞️
Our students have been busy exploring the tactile world of paper! We’ve been tearing, scrunching, and even experimenting with water to see how materials change. 💦
The Highlights:
🕵️♂️ Mystery Basket: Closing our eyes and using our fingers to "see" textures.
🩹 Care & Compassion: Transforming magazine strips into bandages for pretend play.
👨🍳 Creative Kitchen: Turning newspaper strips into long "noodles" for a feast!
Through these sensory adventures, our children are building essential fine motor skills and a rich vocabulary, describing the world as "soft," "softer," and "heavy."
The big question for next week: What happens when we mix paper with water? Stay tuned! 🧪✨

Let’s embark on a Rainbow Journey 🌈✨
This week, our young learners followed their curiosity into a vibrant world of colour. From exploring Learning Colours with the Ladybird to creating their own striking masterpieces, it’s been a joyful week of discovery.
Highlights:
🎨 Scratch Art – Children layered colours, then revealed hidden rainbows using simple tools, learning patience along the way.
🍎 Multi-sensory learning – We explored textures, lines and Mandarin colour names through stories and hands-on activities.
🌱 Life skills – Through playful storytelling, children are building confidence in daily routines and developing greater independence.
Every brushstroke and new skill is a step towards growing into their unique selves. Well done, young artists!
