It was wonderful to reconnect with our Singapore-based alumni last Thursday, May 21! Nearly 30 Eagles from the 1960s through the 2020s gathered for an evening of connection, conversation, and community. We saw alumni reconnecting after many years, meeting fellow Eagles they might otherwise never have crossed paths with, and even welcoming an alum who happened to be visiting Singapore. A huge shoutout to the incredible SAS Alumni City Club of Singapore for once again hosting such a meaningful gathering for our Eagles!

It has been exactly one year since we had the joy of welcoming home over 200 alumni and guests for our inaugural Woodlands campus Alumni Reunion Weekend.

From the first hugs shared after decades apart, to the late-night memories made on the dance floor at CHIJMES, to the new friendships forged over Sunday morning brunch—it was a weekend filled with magical moments!

We are thrilled to announce that plans are already underway for our next gathering. We hope to see you back again for our next Alumni Reunion Weekend from August 20–22, 2027.

We can't wait to welcome you home, Eagles!

We are saddened to share the passing of Douglas William McKirahan (class of 1974) on April 25, 2026, at the age of 70.

Doug called many places home throughout his life, including Singapore, before settling in San Francisco for more than five decades. He lived a life marked by curiosity, creativity, compassion, and authenticity. A filmmaker, lifelong learner, and dedicated psychiatric technician, he spent more than 30 years caring for individuals living with mental illness in San Francisco. He was deeply loved by friends and colleagues around the world and will be remembered for his kindness, honesty, and ability to truly see people. He is survived by his siblings and extended family, as well as by many dear friends whose lives he deeply touched.

A private funeral service and burial will be held. Memorial donations may be made in Doug’s name to San Francisco Animal Care and Control.
