Antonio Vivaldi: Concerto in D major for string orchestra

Tanglewood Music School (Singapore) recently had the privilege of participating in a collaborative orchestra performance and cultural exchange in Taiwan alongside Nanhu Elementary School and Shipai Junior High School.
As part of this meaningful exchange, the combined orchestra performed at the Eslite Performance Hall in Taipei, bringing together young musicians from all three schools in a celebration of musical excellence, cultural understanding, and international friendship.
We are honored that this collaboration was featured on 八大民生新聞 GTV News.
We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to Dr. Ching-Hung Lo (Leo) for his invaluable efforts in connecting and bridging the three schools, making this enriching international partnership possible.
This experience provided our students with a unique opportunity to learn, perform, and build lasting connections through the universal language of music.

Taiwan Music Tour 2026 – Taipei
Our students had an enriching and memorable music tour in Taipei, combining performance preparation, cultural exploration, and valuable learning experiences.
Leading up to the concert, the students were privileged to have two days of rehearsals, allowing them to refine their repertoire, build confidence, and develop stronger ensemble skills before taking the stage. These intensive rehearsals played an important role in preparing the performers for their concert at the prestigious Eslite Performance Hall, where they showcased their hard work and musical growth to an appreciative audience.
Beyond the performance, the tour provided students with opportunities to experience Taiwan’s rich artistic and cultural landscape. The group visited the iconic Taipei Music Center, gaining insight into Taiwan’s vibrant music scene and contemporary performing arts industry. They also explored the renowned National Theater, one of Taiwan’s most significant cultural landmarks, where students learned about the country’s dedication to the performing arts.
The cultural journey continued with visits to the historic Tamsui Old Street and Dihua Street in the Dadaocheng district, where students experienced local heritage, traditional architecture, and authentic Taiwanese culture. They also spent time in the lively Zhongshan Commercial District, experiencing the city’s modern urban culture, creative spaces, and vibrant atmosphere.
The Taiwan Music Tour was a meaningful blend of musical excellence, cultural discovery, and personal growth. Through rehearsals, performances, and exploration, students not only strengthened their musicianship but also broadened their understanding of Taiwan’s rich artistic heritage, creating lasting memories and friendships along the way.
