Last week, we shared how Theodore Kwan experienced a week of hands-on learning with our School of Chemical & Life Sciences (CLS). On Friday, our CLS lecturers and student buddies were delighted to reunite with Theodore and his family to celebrate another special milestone in his learning journey. 🥳

Theodore has received four new titles from the Singapore Book of Records, recognising his achievements across IGCSE Mathematics, Physics and Biology. Together with the five records he previously received, he now holds nine Singapore records! 🏅 Beyond this, we were glad to celebrate the curiosity, enthusiasm and love of learning that Theodore brought with him throughout his time at SP. 🤩

Congratulations, Theodore! Keep asking questions, exploring new possibilities and, most importantly, enjoy every step of your learning journey. We cannot wait to see where your curiosity takes you next! 🌟

We’re proud to launch CASTLE (Cybersecurity Assessment and Security Operations Centre Training Lab for Enterprises) — a new initiative that brings our students, educators and industry practitioners together to tackle real-world cybersecurity challenges!

SP is the first Institute of Higher Learning in Singapore licensed by the Cybersecurity Services Regulation Office (CSRO) to provide pe*******on testing. 🔐

This means our students can gain hands-on experience working alongside practitioners on real security operations, threat assessments and cybersecurity awareness, while helping SMEs strengthen their cyber defences.

Through our partnership with ST Engineering, CASTLE is expected to benefit 400 students and 10 staff, giving them the opportunity to work with real business networks and build skills that are directly relevant to the industry.

We’re excited to play our part in nurturing Singapore’s next generation of cyber defenders. 💻

Do you recognise a familiar face? Meet Theodore, the remarkable 8-year-old whose curiosity and passion for learning brought him to SP for a week of hands-on discovery! 🥼

Together with our School of Chemical & Life Sciences (CLS) team, Theodore got to roll up his sleeves and experience chemistry and biology lab work first-hand. 🧪🔬

But that wasn’t all! He also got a taste of poly life from flying drones and building his own wooden glider, to getting creative with hands-on projects at our FABLAB. 🚁✈️🛠️

We’re so glad we could create this experience for Theodore and give him a little glimpse of what’s possible at SP ❤

Getting a taste of uni life while still in poly? 🎓👀

Meet Aaron, Y2 Diploma in Chemical Engineering (now known as Diploma in Chemical & Biological Engineering) student that took on SP University Accelerated Pathway Programme (UAPP), where he got to experience university-level learning early. 🤩

From navigating the long commute to adjusting to a new learning environment, the experience gave him a better idea of what to expect after SP!

Huge congratulations to Team Robo-Erectus Smart Manufacturing League (SML) for securing 2nd Place in the inaugural RoboCup SML! 🏆🇸🇬

Competing internationally for the first time, Shao Hong and his team, from the School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE), took on top teams from Germany, South Korea, the Netherlands, Japan, and Brazil. 🌎 From programming sensor logic to fine-tuning the Workbench Piper Arm for complex assembly tasks, the solid foundation from SP proved essential under pressure! 😮‍💨

Yuh Tyng's SP journey is all about finding ✨balance✨!

She came to SP for science, joined SP Canoe Sprint to try something new, and ended up finding a community that pushed her further than she expected 🛶.

Between academics and championships, she doesn't struggle with time management. But one of her biggest challenges? Learning when to rest 🧘‍♀️Turns out, chasing your dreams mean learning how to make room for what matters🌱

What a weekend for our SP Arts Cluster!

💃 SP Strictly Dance Zone Modern Group was the only tertiary institution to make the Finals at the Lion City Dance Convention.
🥉 SP Malay Dance secured 3rd place at Pentas Gelanggang Tari 2026.
🥇 SP Symphonic Band struck Gold at the Singapore International Band Festival 2026 before bringing the music to Changi Airport with a public performance.
