What's brewing in DDA this 2018?!

DDA's very own Comics Club, the Comix Club AX!
The club was started in collaboration with Mr Johnny Lau, creator of Mr Kiasu. Comix Club AX aims to seek out and nurture youths with interests in creating comics as a career.

AXP is a physical manifestation of the club. The AXP paper is an avenue for these young apprentices to hone their skills in creating commercial comics.

Do come down this weekend to STGCC 2018 to check out Comix Club AX at booth TS11 & TS13, and support AXP!

Comix Club AX and AXP is also supported by Shogakukan Asia, renowned Japanese publisher.

Internship is a key element in our curriculum. It allows our students to experience real life projects and the working environment. It is also pivotal to their learning and growth. Are you game enough?

While on her internship with Ubisoft Singapore, our Diploma in Digital Animation student Leow Zi Ting was assigned to work on Skull and Bones Game which was recently launched at the E3 Expo in Los Angeles! She worked on parts of the cinematic videos for the gameplay demo and the game itself.

"SP's Advanced Lighting module helped me out the most as it gave me a huge advantage with color theory and the basics of cinematic lighting," she shares. "When I joined and I was able to just jump straight to helping out with the project!"

Zi Ting will be extending her internship with them and hopes to see the game in our shores soon! 🏴☠

DDA Bonding Day 2017! Thank you all for coming today! Even though the turnout was smaller than expected we hope it's been fun and signals a return of the annual Bonding Day tradition at DDA - an event for juniors to mix with seniors so everyone in the awesome DDA family can get to know one another! :)
