Agastya is a very curious child who wants to observe and know the world around him. Vehicles on 🚌road, 🚁air and 🚤water fascinate him like nothing else.
His excitement knows no bounds when he sees an aeroplane flying in the air while riding in a bus.

Everyday while walking to and from school he likes to observe various type of transports on road and categorise them into big and small.

To nurture his natural curiosity, I took him to the during one of our weekly visits and introduced him to a lot of books on transportation. He picked one by Adam Harris - “Things that Go” and wanted to take it home.

A perfect book for my little avid learner. Filled with vibrant colours, the book is clubbed with fun renderings of cars, construction vehicles, a yacht, a retro car and more.

We read it again and again as it helped develop his observational skills and prompt recall through repeated exposure to the shapes and sounds of letters and the fun illustrations of various transportation vehicles.

To include some fun in his learning on transportation, I also brought him a Transport Kit from .in. In the box, we found over 9 fun transportation theme activities that were perfect for his age group (3-4 yrs). He was able to explore things that move in a variety of fun, hands-on ways!

He explored various modes of transportation while building his own vehicles and talking to his Daddy about his unique travel machines over dinner.

He shared his creations with his big sister and learnt so much about the importance of traffic signals and road signs through shared play.

PS: He loved the idea of a hot air balloon and wishes to sit in it one day.

Do let us know in the comment section below on transportation books that you recently explored with your little ones. And don’t forget to share various activities that you could associate with it.

Happy Reading and Exploring!

Oh, the places you’l go! Story Time at Kaboodle

When it comes to with children, we try thinking beyond books.
How?

By transforming your beloved stuffed animal into a story character, making a river out of a long scarf, and maybe converting a sofa cushion into a mountain to climb.

Guided by our Neha Jain Kale, you and your child will immerse in a fictional tale, where your child will take the lead and play his part in charting the story's trajectory.

Watch as your little ones engage with their senses to explore in a safe space and be mesmerised by the wonders of art and storytelling.

Learn with Stories: My Creative Experiements at Home

Easter Theme🐰

Every year Aahana plans a series of books to read on Easter with us. One book 📖that caught her attention then and now is Marilyn Sadler's "It's Not Easy Being a Bunny". 🐰

She picked up this book a while ago while chilling at the . We read along as Sadler wrote this beautiful tale of self discovery through fun . This 'bunny-rific' tale took Aahana on a journey with P.J Funny Bunny as he made friends with other animals and learnt the importance of self-love.

We read the book and doodled the characters on a white board while role-playing our parts! Aahana, ofcourse was P.J Funny Bunny!

The read aloud session was followed by recreating the story on egg-shaped books using decoupaged story clipping that Mumma drew - a recollection activity of a sort! Which was then followed by a wonderful activity - one that made her jump in excitement.

Quite honestly, her favourite part -- she finally got her hands on aunty Yae na's vibrant coloured bunny crayons from Crayons Story ! Her knew no bounds when she saw those cute bunny-egg shaped crayons🖍🐰 and some wooden molds.

She used her imagination to colour the molds using the crayons and tied them all together to form a garland.

I seldom find my inspiration at home and most of my ideas come from first-hand experiences with my children.

For our upcoming Easter workshop(linkin bio), you might find some in there as well ;)

Try reading this tale with your little ones at home and send us a thumbs up👍 if you like it.

Be creative and share with us various activities that you could associate with it !

Happy Reading and Exploring!

Talking about with kids and empowering them to fight is incredibly important to do. However, it can be really tricky to know where and how to start.

We thought it was extremely important to focus on children, an age group that we think unfairly gets left out of these important conversations.

For my son’s last month, we explored an amazing 🦖 -themed indoor playground and well, for a Dino-crazy boy like him, it was nothing short of a treat!

And, for the big sis as well - as right outside the park we found an amazing pop-up that gave us lots of and an open to paint on!

Filled with dinosaur rides, , , the Jurassic Dinosaur Adventure Park at was not something to be missed.

As we entered, we walked along a path with dinosaurs that roared and type plants that moved!

My kids 👩 were fascinated with the way these things were moving – almost coming to life! Little one got scared for a while but then the protective sister came to rescue!

The pathway led us into the dark forest where the dinosaurs roamed. Everything looked super fascinating … with fossils, bones etc.

A fun educational session followed between the two when they started discussing the species looking at their skulls.

Followed by a 🤯 fight on who will sit on which 🦕 – as the next step led us to fun dinosaur rides.

Apart from the exhibits and rides, the was filled with soft play stations for toddlers, small slides, bouncing castles and what not! My kids had a blast and didn’t want to go back even after 1.5 hours of play.

The playground is open till 20 March, 2022. I might be late in posting this review but do check it out, if you still haven’t.

💡Quick Tip: The noise at the entrance pathway might be scary for younger ones but gets better as you walk inside.

👏A special mention: for the pop-up right outside the playground – a very refreshing experience for the kids as well as us. The super friendly staff treated us with goodie bags filled with colours, DIY hats etc to sit together as a family and create unique art pieces.

📅When: Extended until 20 March, 2022
📍Where: Let’s Play ’Marquee, Downtown East
💲How much: Weekdays $25 | Weekends/P.H $28 for 90-minute sessions
