Nice conditions today with gusts of 12-15 knots making for fun and challenging practice - especially with the kite up. Some successful 'croc hunting' of the footwear variety and putting the man overboard skills to use!

With lots of racing over the past few weekends we are now looking to get back to the usual weekend training for adults and families. Please get in touch if interested.

Starting with the Nils Razmilovic cup (SB20s) where the all HiTech student team of Daniel Hochuli, Mars Fernandez, Ryan Phuan and Ezanee Ahmad competed aboard 'Scumbag'. We are pleased to say that HiTech coaches took out the top 2 positions overall with Daniel and Cheryl Winning the regatta and Steve coming in Second. Daniel and Cheryl then went on to finish a very strong 21st in the SB20 World Championships in Dubai against a fleet filled with past World Champions, Olympic Gold medalists and professional sailors!

Last weekend was the 3rd instalment of The Singapore Regatta and we had HiTech students spread across multiple classes. Mars Fernandez sailing aboard 'Forever Young' in the PY Division finishing 4th overall. Lee-Shir Heng joining on 'Sinbad' in the SB20s finishing 5th overall and Akira Kikuchi joining the team aboard 'Chilli Padi' in the PY Division as well as coach Steve who took the SB20 title. A very strong start to the year for HiTech coaches and students!

Great to have father and son duo Spencer and Aaron out on the weekend. They tell me that HiTech courses are the ONLY sailing course they could find in Singapore where parents and kids can join together. Wishing everyone a great holiday period with family and friends. HiTech Sailing will be back in January with Weekend classes resuming from 6th January and Holiday Camps starting January 8th - 11th! Book your slots early.

This week's School Holiday Camp - Day 1 these guys learned to sail on a reaching course and tack with really nice breeze. Day 2 and 3 started in drifting conditions with breeze building from the middle to end of the sessions. Gybing and sailing close hauled / broad reach on Day 2 and they managed to set the spinnaker on Day 3!

It's been a great first 6 months or so and as we wrap up the year with a short break over Christmas we look forward to kicking off in January! Big thanks to everyone who has supported so far.
