Happy Chinese New Year from all of us at The Pilates Space!

So… here’s the plan: I’m gonna do this 36km trail on 10 February, first day of Chinese New Year. If I feel up to it, I’ll double back to make it 72km. Will catch the first train to Jurong and start.

I’m not gonna sit around and mope during CNY. It’s gonna be the first one spent alone: no meals, no fellowship. I’m doing this in memory of my late wife, who passed away after a long brave fight with ovarian cancer. I’ll also be doing it for the people who have helped her in the fight. Catharsis? Am sure. This is also for friends who are battling cancer too.

I’ll be using the Road ID app which will generate a URL for anyone interested to track my progress online. I’ll post this when I start and I’ll post updates along the way. If you want to join me for a short walk, pop down along the way to pass me a drink or food (bak kwa is actually a good source of power food cos it’s so caloric intensive 😂), please feel free. I’ll be more than happy to share with you my late wife’s fight, the lessons we’d learned along the way and her wisdom of having planned out almost everything for the end. Even if you wanna just chat, I’m more than happy to do it. Not going anywhere except plod on.

Even if no one comes, it’s ok. It’d be cathartic anyway 😊

May’s first pilates class! Got a change to work on her shoulder mobility and her tight ITB after talking about it for so long, and I’m glad that she’s feeling better. It’s a long journey ahead, so remember to do your homework, May ! 💪

A group workout of 3 is possible at The Pilates Space with our convertible trapeze table! Ganesh and Ovidia have been coming in for duet classes for some time now, and their loving son wanted to practice pilates with them when he’s home for the holidays. What a lovely family! 🥰

Because we care for our clients’ well being! Being in an indoor carpeted environment, there may be environmental allergens like dust mites, unpleasant smell, mould, etc. 😷As part of the studio’s mission to bring a pleasant healthy environment to our clients, we have installed the .sg air purifier with HEPA filter. The air purifier runs from midnight to 6am to ensure that the studio is ready for clients the next day. The carpet is also vacuumed twice a day with the robot vaccum everyday.
