While many regard the Protestant Reformer John Calvin as
a great theologian, few know him as a pastor and teacher of prayer.
Calvin described prayer as “the chief exercise of faith”, the practice of
which deepens our communion with God. His theology was consistently expressed through his piety. At this retreat, we will explore key features of
Calvin’s teaching on prayer and also practise them as part our time together.

Our academic year ended with a closing Holy Communion Service.
Lord, lift our eyes above the anxieties and troubles of this passing world, that we may set our hearts on things above, where Christ is seated. Teach us to live as faithful witnesses while we await His coming again in glory. And keep us steadfast in faith, until that day when every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
我们的学年以结束圣餐崇拜作为终章。
教导我们在等待他荣耀再次降临之时，要效法忠心的见证者那样的生活。让我们在信仰上坚定不移，直等到那一天的来临，那时候，每一个人都要屈膝屈服，每一个舌头都会承认耶稣基督是主，将荣耀给予父上帝。

Gathering faculty members and students for a community photograph is a logistical feat. Faculty members need to be in their academic gowns while graduands—this was photographed before graduation—must be issued the correct hoods and fitting gowns just for this event.
召集教职员与学生拍摄团体照，是一项颇具挑战的后勤工作。教职员须身穿学袍，而毕业生——由于照片摄于毕业典礼之前——则必须为此次拍摄领取正确的学位披肩及合身的学袍。
