The diploma designed & developed in collaboration with IMDA and leading industry practitioners aims to meet the new manpower needs of the media industry.

The course produces graduates who are not only creative and media savvy but also entrepreneurial and business-focused. The curriculum includes the Teaching Enterprise Project (TEP), a one semester hands-on training programme that exposes students to TV and Print production projects, programming and management of a campus TV network and industry-driven projects. TEP is complemented by one semester

DMMM was at SPH Radio! On 9 Dec, Year 1 students together with lecturers discovered the inner workings of this live broadcast medium. ⁣

They interacted with local radio personalities, toured the station, learnt how to put together a radio show, wrote their own scripts to go on-air ‘LIVE’ and developed their broadcast voices and personalities.⁣

Carol Smith and Joshua Simon also shared their personal experiences and some tips on being a radio deejay.⁣

Thank you SPH Radio! Kiss92 One FM 91.3

So proud of our media students for stepping up during the rigorous and demanding production of the Asian Academy of Creative Awards 2021. They were in the control room, the floor, the Zoom control linking all the nominees from all parts of the world - this will be something the students won’t forget in a while. Grateful to the Asian Academy Creative Awards for the trust in our staff and students to be part of this project.

Also, very special thanks to host Bobby Tonelli, who guided our students along the whole week - he’d make a great lecturer some day 🥰. Thanks also to all the celebs who were on the Red Carpet and presenting the awards in Singapore, whose faces always light up when they find out some of the crew members were polytechnic media students 😆.

Hard, hard work all week. No sweat. What’s up next?

Every year, our diploma, students and alums break new ground. Today, we are very proud to share that grad Mahendra Prasad s/o Sivakumar who graduated last year, has been awarded the SAF Scholarship. He received the award - a prestigious scholarship second only to the President's Scholarship - from Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen at a ceremony at the Temasek Club on Saturday. Past SAF scholars include Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, and ministers Teo Chee Hean, Tan Chuan-Jin and Chan Chun Sing,

Mahendra will be graduating from OCS in March next year and serve as an Air Warfare Officer in the RSAF before departing for studies in Politics and International Relations. We, at Nanyang Polytechnic couldn't be prouder and wish him the best for the future.

This past Saturday was lit as students covered NDP2021 at the Marina Bay Floating Platform and rubbed shoulders with the stars. But the star of this year's proceedings was arguably The Road Ahead, the oh-so-nice national day song for 2021, written by and composed by singer-songwriter Linying and music producer Evan Low . Watch this production on the story behind the song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MEygVR_exgY&t=7s

The 18th batch of DMMM/DMSM students graduated this week in a ceremony so different from what we had in the past. No parents, no industry guests. Just the graduands and the lecturers. Course managers were emcees of the different sessions and read out the grad names. Intimate, cosy affairs. We are thankful and blessed. Check out the grad video proudly produced by us https://youtu.be/v2W_tqidHss
