LONG OVERDUE BUT let's introduce our new full time coach: 🎉
Muhsin has been passionate about fitness ever since he first stepped into the gym at 15 years old. Over time, that passion led him into more than 8 years of experience across strength training, hypertrophy, functional fitness and conditioning.
Along the way, he has gone through his own physique transformations, injuries, setbacks and rebuilding phases, giving him a realistic understanding of what long-term progress actually looks like.
Currently coaching at BFT Ang Mo Kio, Muhsin believes training should not only make someone look better, but also move better, feel stronger and become more confident both physically and mentally. His coaching style focuses heavily on proper movement mechanics, intensity, accountability and creating sustainable progress based on each individual’s goals and fitness level.
One thing that shaped his coaching approach was learning things the hard way early on. Like many people starting out, he relied heavily on bro science and random advice online without fully understanding proper training principles.
Over time, through research, experience and learning from credible sources, he developed a much deeper understanding of training, recovery and programming.
He always emphasises that fundamentals comes first. Good technique, consistency and proper structure will always outperform shortcuts in the long run.
What drew him to BFT was the science and structure behind the programming.
"It’s not just random workouts every session is built with purpose, progression and intent."
Outside the gym, Muhsin enjoys learning more about training methodologies, nutrition, supplementation and performance, while also creating fitness content and helping others improve both physically and mentally. He also credits his fiancée for helping keep him accountable with training and consistency, especially during busy periods where discipline matters most.
With a mix of intensity, fun humour and a realistic coaching approach, expect challenging sessions, good energy and plenty of support along the way.
