"We help PSLE to Secondary 4 students master English, Math, and Science by teaching them how to study effectively and how to spot the key concepts examiners are really testing." We are committed to creating a conducive, enjoyable and comfortable environment for students to realise their academic goals. We focus on tying and bridg

ing enthusiastic learners with the same passion to cultivate the flame of igniting their true potential. Through a low student-teacher ratio of 1:10, we believe attention should be paid on every student and the teachers devise individual study plan depending on the needs of each student.

https://www.steppingstoneslc.com.sg/how-to-choose-primary-science-tuition-in-singapore-a-parents-checklist-from-p3-to-p6/

Most Primary Science tuition centres in Singapore describe themselves the same way. Small classes, experienced tutors, MOE-aligned lessons. Parents comparing centres from the outside are often left choosing on price or location alone, because the marketing copy rarely tells you what actually changes from one level to the next.

That is the wrong way to compare. Science is not one subject that stays the same for four years. What a Primary 3 pupil needs from a tuition class is not what a Primary 6 pupil needs, and a centre that treats every level the same is usually the centre that cannot explain why its approach works. This checklist is built around what should genuinely change as a child moves from P3 to P6, at Stepping Stones Learning Centre or anywhere else you are considering, so you can ask sharper questions before you commit.

Is your child making this common Math Fraction mistake?

It’s a simple question but they still got it wrong. Not because they didnt know it but because they rushed and didn’t take note of the unit (or lack of it).

At SSLC, we teach our students to eliminate such careless reading by underlining key information before answering.

👇Share this to those who needs help in Math!

Your child knows the concepts. So why are marks still slipping?

The Straits Times just featured this exact question - and the answer surprised a lot of parents. It's not the weaker students who make these mistakes. It's the ones scoring 80%, 85%, even higher.

One PSLE student went from 85% to just 50% in a single paper. Not because he forgot anything - because he shaded one wrong bubble on the OAS, and every answer after that shifted down a row.

Confidence isn't the problem. Carelessness is.

Swipe through the 8 mistakes even top scorers make - misreading graphs, mixing up cause and effect, using "everyday" language instead of scientific terms, running out of time - and see exactly which ones might be quietly costing your child marks.

At SSLC, this is what we train for. Not just content - the discipline behind every answer.

Singapore’s secondary school examination system is changing, and many parents may be wondering what this means for their child. From 2027, the Singapore-Cambridge Secondary Education Certificate, also known as the SEC, will replace the separate GCE N(T), N(A) and O-Level certificates.

This change is part of Full Subject-Based Banding, where students can take subjects at different levels based on their strengths. For parents, the main concern is simple: how will this affect your child’s learning, exam preparation and future pathways?

As a trusted tuition centre in Singapore, we help families understand academic changes in a practical way. This guide explains the SEC clearly so you can support your child with more confidence.

Your child’s “careless mistakes” in math aren’t careless. 👀

They’re gaps. And left alone, they don’t just disappear - they compound, right up until PSLE.

We see the same 5 mistakes walk through our doors every single term (swipe to see them 👉):
Place value confusion. Fraction guesswork. Area vs. perimeter mix-ups. Unit conversion slips. And the big one - not understanding what the question is actually asking.

The good news? Every one of these is fixable, if you catch it early.

We’ve packed all 5 fixes into our free P3 Math Survival Guide - real examples, real tips you can use at home tonight.

📩 DM “MATH” and we’ll send it straight to you.

📚 DIRECT vs REPORTED SPEECH - A grammar topic that many Primary students find confusing!

Have you ever heard your child say:

❌ Tom said he love pizza.

It looks almost right... but it's actually incorrect! 🤔

When changing Direct Speech to Reported Speech, students need to remember to change: âś… Pronouns âś… Tenses âś… Time expressions (where necessary)

These small grammar rules can make a big difference in exams, especially in PSLE English.

That's why we've created this simple sketchnote guide to help students understand the concept more easily. Save this post so your child can refer back to it anytime! 📌

👉 Look through the carousel, try the mini challenge, and see if your child gets the correct answer before reaching the final slide.

At SSLC, we believe English isn't about memorising endless rules - it's about understanding how the language works. Our lessons break down challenging grammar concepts into simple, easy-to-follow frameworks that help students build confidence and apply what they've learned in school and exams.

đź’¬ If you're looking for a Primary English programme that helps your child strengthen grammar, writing, comprehension, and overall confidence, send us a DM with the word "ENGLISH". We'd be happy to share more about our classes.
