United as One! Celebrating Singapore's 61st National Day! 🇸🇬✨
A sea of red and white filled the hall as Yuying Secondary School came together to celebrate National Day with pride and joy! ❤️🤍
Our lower secondary students participated wholeheartedly in the National Day mascot competition, putting their creativity on full display through mascots that represent our nation and what Singapore means to them. It was heartwarming to see their enthusiasm, teamwork and pride as they shared their ideas with the school community.
The celebration continued with students and staff singing our hearts out to well-loved National Day songs, filling the hall with energy, unity, and a strong sense of belonging. The meaningful celebrations reminded us of the values that bring us together as one people.
As part of the celebration, students also took part in the National Day Observance Ceremony, giving them the opportunity to reflect on Singapore’s journey and deepen their understanding of patriotism.
The National Day celebration in school provided our Yuying Eagles with an opportunity to reflect on what it means to love, appreciate, and contribute to Singapore.
Happy National Day, Singapore! Majulah Singapura! 🇸🇬✨

Our Yuying eagles participated in the National Schools Literature Festival 2026 🪶🎭. In line with the theme of the festival, ‘Keeping the Flame Alive’🔥, our students demonstrated their intellectual fortitude across the events such as the Book Parade, Upper Secondary Set Text Roundtable, Book Trailer and Choral Speaking 📚🗣️.

They also had the opportunity to learn from other schools’ student teams and witnessed texts come to life 🧠💭.

We would like to extend a heartfelt congratulation to our Eagles on the following achievements:

1. Book Parade - Bronze Award 🥉
2. Upper Secondary Set Text Roundtable - Text Expert & Insightful Analyst 🔍💡

and give a shoutout to our Book Trailer and Choral Speaking teams for their contributions 🌟.

As Shakespeare wrote: Parting is such sweet sorrow 💔. We look forward to the next opportunity to learn and appreciate the beauty of Literature 🦅📖!

🎉 Congratulations to Senior Cadet Lieutenant Gabriel Chee Hao Zhe on clinching the President’s Award!
We are immensely proud of our alumnus, Gabriel, for this outstanding achievement — a testament to his unwavering dedication, diligence, and steadfastness in service within the Boys’ Brigade community.
Currently serving as Head Primer of the 93rd Singapore Company, Gabriel plays a pivotal role in developing and strengthening the Company’s Primers Programme. His passion for excellence is evident in the way he mentors Boys in drill and adventure training, supports the NCO Council, and leads the planning of expeditions, camps, and major ceremonies with commitment and heart.
Gabriel truly embodies the spirit of the Boys’ Brigade — leadership, service, discipline, and courage. His achievement inspires all of us to strive higher and serve faithfully.
Once again, congratulations on this well-deserved honour! 👏✨

✨ Racial Harmony Day 2026 – Celebrating Unity in Diversity! ✨
Our Racial Harmony Day assembly programme was truly a vibrant celebration of Singapore’s rich multicultural identity!
The concert band kicked off the event with an electrifying performance of “Jai Ho”, filling the atmosphere with energy, rhythm, and excitement. 🎶
We were also mesmerised by a graceful Indian dance performed by our very own Malay dance group, showcasing a beautiful traditional Indian dance and the colourful costumes that reflected the richness of the Indian heritage.
Adding to the cultural showcase, the guzheng and guitar performances captivated the audience with their beautiful melodies. 🎼✨
Beyond the performances, Yuying Eagles had the opportunity to visit interactive game booths showcasing traditional games that shared the true meaning of diversity. Through engaging activities and meaningful conversations, students learned more about the different races, religions, and cultures that make Singapore such a harmonious home for all. 🤝🌍
It was a meaningful reminder that while we may come from different backgrounds, we are united as one community. Together, we celebrate, respect, and embrace our diversity! 💕

✨ ApLM@ITE & ApLM@School Learning Journey ✨
Our students embarked on an enriching and memorable learning journey filled with hands-on experiences and exciting discoveries.
At ITE Central, students explored 2D Computer Game Development, where they designed and created their own games, turning their ideas into interactive experiences. They also took part in Build Your Own Glider, applying creativity and teamwork to design, build, and test their gliders.
At ITE East, students experienced the fast-paced excitement of the Drone Racer course, learning how to operate and race drones with skill and precision.
In addition, back in school, students participated in the ApLM@School – Hospitality Module, where they gained practical insights into the hospitality industry and developed valuable skills such as service excellence, communication, and professionalism.
Overall, the experience gave students a deeper understanding of the diverse learning pathways available at ITE and in school, helping them make more informed decisions about their educational journey.
