Our Primary 3 to 6 prefects kicked off Project Gratitude this Teachers’ Day, inviting schoolmates to pen heartfelt notes of appreciation to their teachers during recess and try their hand at making origami animals to accompany their notes of thanks. Guiding their peers through each fold, they inspired many to embrace a Growth Mindset — persevering through the tricky steps. The love they wanted to show their teachers made it all worthwhile. 💛

Here’s to a meaningful and memorable Teachers’ Day celebration!

❤️🇸🇬Happy 61st Birthday, Singapore! ❤️🇸🇬

✨ What an unforgettable National Day celebration at Yishun Primary! ✨

🎉 We kicked off the week with exciting National Day recess activities before coming together in a vibrant celebration filled with pride, joy and unity.

🇸🇬 From the march-past and Recollections to 💃 energetic Modern Dance performances, 🌟 August Mascot’s special appearance, 🎶 National Day sing-alongs led by our wonderful Music teachers, and 🎭 the inspiring Acts4Change skit, every moment celebrated Singapore’s journey and our shared values.

❤️ Through songs, performances and meaningful experiences, our students proudly expressed their love for Singapore and their hopes for the future.

🌿 Environment Education Week 2026 is here!

Building on last year’s success, Environmental Education Week (EEW) 2026 brought deeper partnerships and richer learning experiences for us at YPS!

From National Parks Board (NPB) speakers sharing fascinating insights into Singapore’s rainforest ecosystems, to hands-on DIY detergent-making, and our Green Ambassadors and Parent Volunteers bringing animal life cycles and food chains to life with SPARKLE Kits — there was something for everyone.

Our community partner, ALBA, also joined us to share practical e-waste reduction tips, with students depositing small household e-waste items on the spot. Every small action counts! 💚

From knowledge to action — students had a whale of a time making a difference for our planet. 🌏

Our Primary 4 students had an enriching learning experience at Kreta Ayer Heritage Gallery as they explored the rich history of the Kreta Ayer precinct. From experiencing the vibrant art of Chinese Opera to trying their hand at Puppetry, practising beautiful Calligraphy, appreciating the traditions of Tea Appreciation, and listening to the soothing melodies of Nanyin Music, our students were fully immersed in Singapore’s cultural heritage. Through these hands-on activities, they gained a deeper appreciation of how traditions are preserved and continue to shape our multicultural society. Learning truly comes alive beyond the classroom!
