Join us tomorrow night, Friday 25/2/2022 7.30pm-8.30 (https://www.facebook.com/learningoutofthebox)to help your children overcome the TOP 3 challenges that they face for the PSLE English Oral Examination and ace it. We would like to help you to help your child do better, think better and feel better.
The PSLE can be a mad race. However, there are are some skills that can’t be rushed. Honing oral skills is one of them.
Common complaints are:
1) My child is very shy and does not dare to speak
up.
2) My child does not know what to say because he
is unfamiliar with the topics.
3) My child can speak well and can hold good
conversations but he is not scoring as well as he
should.
The good news is- these problems can be solved in the next few months if you follow a few simple steps. Help your kids with their exam jitters!
See you tomorrow night!

Fruitful morning spent on site to hear our panelist of speakers, Dr Jamus Lim, Jenny Ang and W***y Tan share their views on education.
Key takeaways:
1) Work towards your own dreams and goals and not mould yourself to fit into a dream job that is dictated by society
2) Life long learning is crucial in order to excel in what you do
3) Stay true to yourself. Be kind. Be emphatic.

I believe that people from all age groups and especially our young people will benefit from such open dialogues.

On the subject on how technology aids communication-
Me: You will be going home in another 2 more months. It must have been difficut not to see your family for so long.
Helper: Now, it is very good already. We can use video.
Me: Yes, that’s very true.
Helper: Last time, I write letter. Sometimes I get a letter say that someone is not well. By the time I receive the letter, that person pass away already…
These are some of the stories that I share with my students when we discuss various essay topics. Unless we translate it to our daily lives, knowledge doesnt mean very much. It is something factual, a good to know. When we learn how it impacts the lives around us, do we gain a deeper understanding into what is important in life.

Never thought that my teaching skills will be put directly to good use in the financial industry. Turned out that I was wrong.
Last year, I served as one of the top volunteers to equip primary school students students with money management skills. During the lock down, we taught them about financial literacy (curriculum
Financial Literacy in this order:
Earn, Save, Spend and Donate
Yes, you did not read wrong. Children are taught to EARN & SAVE before they SPEND. Don’t you think it’s important to instill such values to our children when they are young?
Proverbs 22:6
Train a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.
In their adulthood, they can be saved from a lot of heartaches if they have been taught how to manage their money well. It is not about how much you have, but how well you manage what you have.
