Our students recently embarked on a meaningful journey to Cambodia, where they had the privilege of teaching English and painting a rural school. They also had the opportunity to distribute daily necessities to villagers in need.

However, the trip was not without sobering moments. Visiting the Genocide Museum and the Killing Fields, our students were reminded of the fragility of peace and the importance of remembering the past.

Witnessing the realities of life in rural Cambodia was truly eye-opening. Our students returned home with a deeper appreciation for the culture in Cambodia and what they have in Singapore.

What a memorable week of learning, cultural exchange, and friendship! From 22–28 May 2026, our students embarked on an unforgettable overseas immersion program to Jeju, South Korea, as part of the PresHigh GO! Programme.

A key highlight of the trip was the enriching exchange with Aewol Middle School, where students learned alongside their Korean peers, shared experiences, exchanged perspectives, and collaborated on meaningful activities. Through these interactions, they gained a deeper appreciation of different cultures while developing global awareness and valuable interpersonal skills.

Beyond the learning experiences, students forged new friendships, strengthened bonds with one another, and created memories that will last a lifetime. The journey was both enriching and fulfilling, reflecting the spirit of learning, collaboration, fellowship, and cultural exchange.

Thank you to Aewol Middle School for the warm hospitality and meaningful partnership. We look forward to continuing these connections across borders!

The Programmes for Holistic Development (PHD) brought two exciting days of meaningful fun for all PresHighians as they wrapped up Semester 1! πŸŽ‰ Held on 26 and 28 May, students across all levels participated in purposeful and memorable learning experiences beyond the classroom.

Our Sec 1 PresHighians teed off with a golf basics workshop, where they developed their coordination and motor skills through hands-on activities. On Day 2, they embarked on a journey of science and adventure at the Science Centre Singapore during Brain Fest 2026 β€” a thrilling mass escape game and gallery trail.

The Sec 2 students found their rhythm through an energetic drumming workshop, exploring the beats and cultures behind African and South American drums before coming together for a lively class performance. On their second day, they journeyed into Singapore’s past at the National Museum of Singapore, Fort Canning Park and Marina Barrage.

Fun was right up the alley for our Sec 3 students as they embarked on a multi-disciplinary learning journey at Jewel Changi Airport. Through engaging activities, they applied concepts learnt in the classroom to real-world settings while strengthening teamwork and collaboration skills. On Day 2, they gained valuable insights into financial literacy and the importance of making informed financial decisions.

Meanwhile, our Sec 4 students stepped out of their comfort zones and took aim at new challenges through an exciting combat archery programme, where they developed resilience, teamwork and strategic thinking in a fun and active environment.

Through these enriching experiences, PresHighians not only learnt new skills and concepts but also built friendships, confidence and unforgettable memories together.

πŸŽ‰ Math Day 2026 at PHS was a celebration of curiosity, teamwork, and critical thinking through a series of engaging and exciting activities for our learners.

πŸ” In Let’s Escape!, Sec 1 students worked together to solve math puzzles, decipher clues, and complete challenges in an escape room-style experience that tested their critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

πŸƒ In Let’s Race!, Sec 2 students took part in a Math-themed Amazing Race where they raced from station to station, solving mathematical problems and completing teamwork-based tasks to advance through the competition.

πŸ‘ Congratulations to all participants and winners for their enthusiasm and outstanding effort!

It was inspiring to see our students actively engaged, collaborating with one another, and making Math both meaningful and memorable.

The Craft and Technology Department held our Celebrate Learning Day on Wednesday, 13 May 2026, setting up a vibrant exhibition at the School Canteen during the Lower Secondary recesses! πŸŽ¨πŸ› οΈπŸŽ΅

The booths showcased student projects across Design & Technology (D&T), Art, Music, Food & Consumer Education (FCE), and Economics, which enabled PresHighians to appreciate how their peers thoughtfully applied the concept of sustainability to their work. 🌱✨

Alongside these student showcases, educational displays from the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) offered valuable insights into national food security and safety. πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡¬πŸ₯¦

The learning experience concluded with an interactive quiz that saw enthusiastic participation, and we are excited to celebrate our quiz winners for their commendable efforts and learning from the event! πŸ†πŸŽ‰

We are grateful for the curiosity, rich learning and school spirit displayed by our PresHighians! πŸ’™

Current affairs, quick thinking and teamwork all came together at The Straits Times What’s The News? competition this year, where our PHS team journeyed through the preliminary rounds, semi-finals and finals alongside more than 6,000 students from over 70 schools. πŸŽ‰ PHS eventually emerged as one of the Top 4 teams in the competition.

The semi-finals saw students taking on a series of fast-paced team challenges that required both strategy and awareness of current affairs, while the finals brought teams onto the stage for an exciting live quiz-style showdown before an audience.

Beyond the competition itself, the experience encouraged PresHighians to stay curious about the world around them, engage thoughtfully with contemporary issues and learn collaboratively as a team β€” values closely connected to the spirit of Veritas, our ELL Department’s signature programme that seeks to nurture discerning, informed and thoughtful learners in an ever-changing world.

Swipe on for some moments from the journey! πŸ“Έβœ¨
