A great start to the National Day weekend! ☀️🌻
PresHighians joined the Yio Chu Kang community at Yio Chu Kang Community Club on 8 August for the National Day Observance Ceremony, held in conjunction with the PAssionArts Festival 2026. Together with Mr Yip Hon Weng 叶汉荣, Adviser to Yio Chu Kang Grassroots Organisations, and residents, we celebrated Singapore’s 61st birthday! 🎂🎉
Our LLP EXCO, BB, NCC (Sea), NPCC and Guzheng Ensemble students joined the celebrations. We loved hearing that the morning left some of them feeling very much part of the Yio Chu Kang community. That, for us, made the morning extra special. 🥹❤️
Thank you, Yio Chu Kang, for having us again. Always glad to celebrate National Day with our Yio Chu Kang community! 💫⭐️
Happy 61st birthday, Singapore! 🇸🇬❤️

🏆 Congratulations to Our Award Winners!
Earlier this year, our Secondary 1 and 2 Higher Chinese Language students participated in a Radio Drama Workshop, where they explored scriptwriting and storytelling. Inspired by what they had learnt, all students went on to submit original scripts for the 2026 “Script It Right” Chinese Radio Drama Script Writing Competition.
We are proud to share that our Secondary 2 Higher Chinese Language students received the Merit Award for their original work, Secret Agent. Congratulations to Eunice Chen (2C), Lauren Foo (2A) and Soh Ping Yen (2D)!
Receiving the Merit Award means that their winning script will be officially produced and broadcast on UFM100.3 between July and August. This is a remarkable achievement, and we are incredibly proud of our students for their creativity, dedication and hard work. From training and brainstorming ideas to writing their script and receiving this award, they not only strengthened their writing skills but also developed a deeper interest in the Chinese language.

On Monday, our Girls' Brigade (GB) commemorated GB Day! This year, we celebrated our company's achievement in attaining the 2025 Gold Award, a testament to the dedication, teamwork and commitment of our girls and officers.
We also congratulate our four recipients of the Pioneer Brigader Brooch:
- Lee Kai Ning (4G)
- Ang Kheng Chew (4D)
- Zoe Tan Rui (4E)
- Chan Xin Yi (4C)
Their achievement reflects the values of service, perseverance and leadership that GB seeks to nurture.
Our Girls also demonstrated a wonderful spirit of camaraderie as they led the morning assembly with confidence. As GB journeys towards its centenary, we hope our girls will continue to grow into servant leaders, making a positive difference wherever they are.

Happy Racial Harmony Day! 💖
This occasion reminds us that Singapore’s greatest strength lies in its rich cultural diversity and the strong bonds that unite us. 💫
At PHS, students marked the day with traditional games and meaningful discussions during CF lessons, where they explored issues such as online and casual racism. They also came dressed in traditional ethnic attire and learnt about the significance and traditions behind different cultures. 🤝
We hope PresHighians have gained a deeper appreciation of the customs and values of the diverse communities in our country. May they continue to build a cohesive and harmonious society by the choices they make and the respect they show each day. ☺️

As our 'C' Division athletes move into the heart of the National School Games season, we wish them all the very best as we cheer them on from the sidelines. Before the competitions began, our student-athletes gathered for the Sports Bestowment Ceremony to pledge their commitment to the season ahead.
May this season be marked by resilience in the face of challenges, grit in every training session and competition and the courage to give your very best.
We're rooting for each and every one of you. ! 💙💛

Last Thursday, we continued our professional learning on building a caring and enabling environment in PHS with two colleagues sharing practical classroom strategies and ideas. Through their stories, we were inspired to strengthen our commitment to creating positive learning experiences for all PresHighians.
The fruitful afternoon ended on a sweet note. A delightful durian fest, complete with other tropical fruits, giving teachers the opportunity to take a well-deserved break and enjoy some delicious treats!
As TEAM PHS, each of us brings different strengths. Together, we support one another as we carry out our mission of nurturing every PresHighian.

Who knew a trip to McDonald’s could serve up so many lessons in Economics? 🍟
32 of our Secondary 3 Economics students had a meaningful learning experience at McDonald’s, where they looked beyond the counter to see Economics in action.
Through the visit, students saw how businesses think ahead and adapt to changing customer needs. They also gained a deeper appreciation of the decisions involved in managing resources and creating value.
Most importantly, the experience showed that Economics is all around us, even in our everyday meals.
Needless to say, we’re lovin’ it. 🍟
