Along with some of our older athletes representing Singapore in the cadets to senior divisions, our academy also gathered a team of children aged 6 to 12 years old to take part in this competition!

Regardless of the results, this event provided a valuable opportunity for participants to assess their progress in judo and gauge their competition readiness, both physically and mentally. We are especially impressed by the performances of our children, particularly the younger judokas and those competing outside Singapore for the very first time. Their effort, resilience, and sportsmanship were inspiring to see, and we look forward to supporting them as they continue their Judo journey.

Penang Invitational Judo Championship 2026

A new generation of young athletes represented Team Singapore at the Penang Invitational Judo Championship last month. For many of them, it was their first overseas tournament. Despite the challenge, our athletes demonstrated remarkable fighting spirit and determination as they tested themselves against tough opponents.

The tournament attracted many participants from across the region, including the Philippines and Japan. As one of the few regional events available, we believed it has provided valuable exposure and experience for our young athletes. We are greatly encouraged by the outstanding results they achieved, and excited for what’s to come!

We are immensely proud of all athletes who represented Singapore at the recent Thailand SEA Games. Their individual journeys from games qualification, up to competition day, speak volumes to their commitment, courage and discipline to put their very best on the mats.
