🎉 Our 2nd annual Music Art Dance (MAD) Festival has come to a close — and what an incredible three days it was! From hands-on art and craft activities at the canteen during recess to a whole range of creative experiences, our students dove in with boundless energy, imagination, and joy!

🌟 Watching our young learners explore, express, and create across three fun-filled days was truly heartwarming. The creativity and enthusiasm at NYPS never ceases to amaze!

🎉 Did you know our school library comes alive with exciting activities, run by our wonderful parent volunteers? Here's a peek at what's been happening!

📖 In Story Sequencing, students receive strips of paper — each holding a piece of a story — and work to piece them together in the right order. A fun way to build reading comprehension and logical thinking!

🎲 Bingo Book Fun takes a classic game to the library shelves! Students work through bingo cards filled with quests and challenges — hunting for books by theme, genre, or topic. It's a book discovery adventure every time!

🌍 Celebrating International Friendship Day at NYPS! 🌏

🎉 Our students had an amazing time exploring the rich cultures and traditions of countries from around the world — hands-on, up close, and full of joy!

🇵🇭 Learned the graceful footwork of the Philippines' traditional Tinikling dance
🇻🇳 Crafted their very own Vietnamese conical hats

Mental Wellness Workshop 2026 is back! 💙

Following last year’s positive feedback, the PTA brought this workshop back—and once again, it was a meaningful and impactful session for our parents.

Guiding the session was Angie Chew, A/Prof from National University of Singapore and CEO & Mindfulness Principal at Brahm Centre, who shared practical and relatable strategies to support both our children and ourselves through exam stress and beyond.

Through hands-on mindfulness practices and shared reflections, parents explored ways to create calmer home environments and encourage open communication—walking away with tools they can adapt at their own pace.

It was heartening to see our P1–P2 parents join us too—starting early to build strong emotional foundations before the exam years begin.

A big thank you to all our parents who showed up and made the session so engaging.

✨ Celebrating the amazing journey of Tinker Thursday!

Since 2023, this recess programme has been a safe space for our children to explore, create, and discover the joy of learning!

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible Tinker Thursday team (missing some of them in the picture) for nurturing curiosity, sparking laughter, and cheering on every “aha!” moment.

Though Tinker Thursday has wrapped up, the adventure continues with STEM @ NANYANG, every Friday during recess from Term 2.

🍳 Breakfast with Dad 🍳

💛 On 14 March 2026, NYPS hosted a truly special morning — Breakfast with Dad! Organised in collaboration with the Centre for Fathering, this heartwarming programme brought fathers and their children together for quality bonding time right here in our school community.

👨‍👧‍👦 More than just a meal, the programme created a warm and encouraging space for dads to be truly present — connecting with their children through shared activities and meaningful one-on-one conversations. Watching these precious moments unfold was a beautiful reminder of how much a father's presence means!

🌟 The response from our dads was overwhelmingly positive — many shared that they found the experience enjoyable, meaningful, and deeply heartwarming. It was wonderful to see so many fathers walk away with strengthened bonds and lasting memories with their little ones!

🙏 A heartfelt thank you to the Centre for Fathering for partnering with us to make this programme possible, and to everyone at NYPS who helped create such a purposeful and memorable experience for our families!

🏮 Yuan Xiao Jie (元宵節) Tang Yuan (汤圆) Tasting

🎉 What a delightful way to celebrate Yuan Xiao Jie (元宵節) - the 15th day of the lunar calendar and the last day of our Lunar New Year festivities. Our NYPS students from all levels enjoyed a special tang yuan (汤圆) tasting session, and it was lovely to see them enjoying these symbolic treats that represent togetherness and family reunion.

🍜 Watching our little ones experience this meaningful cultural tradition together was truly heartwarming. Thank you to our wonderful teachers for bringing this special celebration to life with such thoughtfulness and care!
