Teaching has always been Ms Sharon lifelong passion, driving her to pursue a career in education by undertaking the MOE teaching award. Ms Sharon graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelorโ€™s degree in Science, majoring in Chemistry with honours and also obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the National Institute of Education.

She dedicated five enriching years to teaching at the secondary level and even embarked on the cross-deployment scheme, where she spent 3 years teaching Science and Mathematics at a primary school.Following her time in primary education, Ms Sharon returned to the secondary level, bringing with her the insights and strategies gained from her primary teaching experience.

Ms Sharon believes in the potential of every student to learn, and itโ€™s the collaborative effort as teachers and students to discover the most effective methods for their learning. Ms Sharon believes through understanding each student on an individual level is crucial as it enables her to tailor her teaching to their unique learning styles. Furthermore, Ms Sharon strongly advocates the value of hard work. While the desired results may not come instantly, she believes in patience and trusting the process to achieve the desired outcomes.

Meet our tutors - Ms Hilda, Mathematics and Science tutor

Meet Ms Hilda, an experienced tutor with a passion for teaching Mathematics and Science. She holds a a Degree in Physiotherapy and a Diploma in Biomedical Science, specialized in Cardiac Technology. Ms Hilda's love for science led her to pursue a degree in healthcare. With 6 years of experience teaching students from primary to secondary levels, including volunteering to teach students with intellectual disabilities, Ms Hilda has gained invaluable experience in catering to students with different abilities and learning needs.

Ms Hilda strongly believes that every student has a unique learning style and pace. In her classes, she prioritizes ensuring that her students thoroughly understand concepts and can apply them to experimental questions before moving on to new topics. With her patient and adaptive teaching approach, Ms Hilda is committed to helping her students achieve their academic goals.

Meet our tutors! - Ms Li Hui, our Science Tutor.

Ms Li Hui graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Life Sciences. She is a passionate and dedicated educator who understands the importance of effective learning strategies. She believes that simply memorizing and regurgitating content for exams is not enough and that students must be taught how to learn and retain information meaningfully.

By using visual diagrams and real-life examples, she can make new concepts more accessible and understandable to her students. She values studying skills such as active recall, spaced repetition, time management, and goal setting. These crucial skills can help students study more efficiently and effectively, leading to better academic performance and overall success.

Ms Li Hui's passion for life sciences and her commitment to teaching and helping her students learn will positively impact their education.
