【學習鋼琴的同時我們還學會了什麼?】
1 堅忍
沒有堅持與忍耐，根本彈不好一首曲子。學生要忍耐坐在鋼琴前的孤獨，忍耐不斷失敗的打擊，堅持不放棄。
2 耐力
練琴時間少則半小時，長則數小時，不斷重覆當中每小節，每小段數十次，這絕對是耐力的磨練。
3 專注
沒有一個成功的鋼琴家能邊練琴，邊東張西望、糊思亂想。這絕對在浪費光陰和精力。樂譜上的音符﹑節奏、符號﹑速度﹑風格﹑句子，每每需要全神貫注的全情投入。
4 協調
不只是左手和右手，還有左腳與右腳，眼睛與耳朵，理智與情感。
5 時間管理
每次練琴時間有限，要很有效率地分配時間才能完成當天的鋼琴功課。久而久之自己必然懂得分配自己的時間。
6 追求
音樂是藝術，沒有要求，這根本算不上音樂，只在糟蹋自己和身邊人的耳朵，所以學鋼琴的學生，應有追求卓越的精神，追求美的聲音。
7 想像力
音樂每每在說話，或故事﹑或陳述﹑或陰森、或抒情，學生需要有想像力才能表達到當中的情感。
8 同步思考
比起其他樂器，這是鋼琴學生獨有的，因為我們在同時處理兩隻手的多聲部旋律，及兩邊不同的表達。
9 責任感
學琴為要完成這首音樂，以及回課給老師聽。對自己、對老師，是責無旁貸的，否則是浪費雙方的時間和精神。
10 感情
學音樂的學生，絕不可能是冷漠無情的人，除非你從來沒有讓音樂在你心中滋生過。
我們不單學會彈琴，還上了人生重要的一課。
