Looking back, we have come a long way touching the lives of many from marginalised communities, impacting every individual we have crossed paths with.

Thousands of hours of emotional, mental, and physical training incorporated in our Bettr Work Training (BWT) Programme and Holistic Training (HT) Programme have helped our beneficiaries gain valuable skill sets to tackle life challenges and kick start their careers in the food & beverage industry.

Education, like coffee, is for all. At Bettr Academy, we provide building blocks for our students that will help them carve out futures in an inclusive environment with coffee as the common ground. Our retail and roastery arm Bettr Coffee, continues to be an inclusive workplace for our students’ learning and career growth.

Our approach to education gears participants up for life’s ups and downs with our professional coffee courses, workshops and social programmes.

Since our founding in 2011, we’ve been driven by a mission to empower women and youth while maximizing the potential of all those who learn with us.

And as they progress in life, so do we. We’ve decided to combine our social platforms for Bettr Group & Bettr Academy, as we see our academy as a space for learning and growth for all - while Bettr Coffee continues to thrive as a collective space for inspiration.

We're proud that this transition is happening alongside an exciting new era where we continue to provide professional coffee education and social programmes, but are beginning to branch out to new areas of beverage education.

Supported by National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre (NVPC), we're all geared up to welcome you to the second session of our Community of Practice on 22 September!

If you work with youths on a regular basis, step into a World Café setting with us and build on previous conversations around approaches to managing at-risk youths. Explore the contextual factors that influences the challenges at-risk youths face and identify the patterns in connecting with them.

Who needs a cup of fresh brew prepared by our dear BWT5 trainees to chase your monday blues away? 🙋🏻‍♀️

What better opportunity to put their espresso, milk steaming and drinks building skills to the test with a cafe simulation session! At the mention of coffee, our team swung by the academy, showing support in hopes of giving our trainees a confidence booster as they prepare for their internship.
