🙏 A Heartfelt Thank You! 🙏

As we bring the APIL P4C Symposium cm FAPSA International P4C Conference 2026 to a close, we would like to express our deepest appreciation to everyone who contributed to making this event such a meaningful and memorable success.

Our sincere thanks go to all our keynote speakers, presenters, workshop facilitators, panellists, participants, volunteers, organising committee members, sponsors, supporters, and friends. Your passion, expertise, generosity, and commitment to Philosophy for Children (P4C) made this conference an inspiring and enriching experience for all.

We would also like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to our valued partner organisations:

Singapore Centre for Character and Citizenship Education (SCCCE)
National Institute of Education (NIE), Nanyang Technological University (NTU)
Huamin Primary School

Thank you for your invaluable partnership, support, and hospitality. Together, we have strengthened our shared vision of nurturing thoughtful, caring, and reflective communities of inquiry.

A big thank to our sponsor - Singapore Institute of Mentors, for the live streaming service.

To everyone who travelled from near and far, thank you for your enthusiasm, insightful dialogue, and willingness to learn from one another. The friendships formed and ideas exchanged over these few days remind us that P4C is truly a global community.

This may mark the end of the conference, but it is certainly not the end of our shared journey. We look forward to continuing to learn, collaborate, and grow together.

More conference photos and highlights will be shared over the coming days, so stay tuned!

Thank you once again for making the APIL P4C Symposium cm FAPSA International P4C Conference 2026 such a wonderful success.

Until we meet again—keep questioning, keep thinking, and keep building communities of inquiry!

With gratitude,

Association for Philosophy in Learning (APIL) Singapore

The Huamin Primary School P4C Philosothon was held on 25 May 2026, and I was honoured to be invited as the Guest of Honour to witness the event.

It has been a meaningful journey for the school, having organised the Philosothon consistently over the past three years with growing strength, stamina, and commitment. Over the years, I have witnessed the remarkable growth and development of the Philosothon, as well as the increasing confidence and professionalism in the way the event is managed.

I am proud to have grown together with them and look forward to seeing the Philosothon continue to flourish in the years ahead.

Philosophy for Children (P4C) Symposium

Dear School Leaders and Educators,

The Philosophy for Children (P4C) Symposium has been organised over the years by various P4C organisations from Australia and Singapore. This year, we are pleased to share that the Symposium will be held in Singapore. We warmly invite your school to participate in the P4C Symposium, taking place on Monday, 13 July and Tuesday, 14 July 2026 at the National Institute of Education (NIE), Nanyang Technological University.

The Symposium aims to introduce and deepen educators’ understanding of P4C as an effective pedagogy for nurturing students’ critical, creative, collaborative, and caring thinking. Through a combination of keynote sessions, workshops, and classroom-based demonstrations, participants will gain both theoretical insights and practical strategies that can be readily applied in their teaching practice.

Highlights of the Symposium include:
• Opening keynote on the impact of AI on P4C in education
• Plenary session on the Community of Inquiry (CoI)
• Hands-on workshops on facilitating dialogue and crafting philosophical questions
• P4C lesson demonstrations and open classroom sessions
• Opportunities to connect with educators and school leaders interested in inquiry-based learning

The Symposium is designed for primary and secondary school teachers, Subject Heads, Heads of Department (HODs), teacher leaders, and school leaders who are keen to strengthen student-centred and inquiry-based pedagogies aligned with emerging 21st Century Competencies.

We warmly encourage your school to nominate interested educators to attend this meaningful professional learning opportunity. Participation will be limited to ensure a quality learning experience.

Please find the programme and registration form attached for your reference. We would appreciate your early registration.

We look forward to your school’s participation and to building a vibrant community of educators committed to thinking and learning.

Warm regards,

Thomas Low

Glad to be invited by the UNESCO (Bangkok Office) to participate in the P4C Workshop for Children and Youth. It was great to meet up with the academics from different universities, school leaders and students to share and promote P4C in this region. The workshop was a great success.

Looking forward to more collaboration between UNESCO, FAPSA and APIL in the near future.

Merry Christmas and a Happy 2025 New Year to all our friends and educators. Best wishes!!

I was invited to the Philosothon organised by Huamin Primary School on 30th Oct 2024. It was a historical milestone for the school and I was honoured to witness that. The school leaders, teachers and students had put in a lot of effort for this event, congratulations to Huamin for this great achievement!
