🌱✨
A new year begins — not with big promises, but with small hands, open soil, and the willingness to learn.
In the year ahead, we look forward to nurturing curiosity, growing confidence through doing, and helping young minds discover the joy of working with nature.
One seed at a time. One lesson at a time.

This Christmas, we’re grateful for the small moments that matter most — curious hands in the soil, lessons learned through doing, and young hearts discovering where food truly comes from.
Thank you to our schools, educators, students, and partners for growing this journey with us.
May the season be filled with warmth, reflection, and seeds of learning that continue to grow in the year ahead.

Farming with a cause.
The students of Pasir Ris Crest Secondary School have just harvested their first batch of veggies for underprivileged families through a large-scale project.
From seeding to post-harvest activities, all students from the Secondary 2 cohort participated, guided by the Secondary 2 Eco-Sustainability Leaders, and aided by Secondary 3 volunteers as well as Eco-Sustainability Leaders, showing remarkable dedication and teamwork.
Having so many students involved is no easy feat and yet they did an amazing job. Kudos to the teachers in charge for this initiative! The next batch of veggies will be a school-staff effort!
It is incredible to see young minds taking up such noble causes as well as making a positive impact on their community. This project not only taught them valuable life skills but also instilled a sense of responsibility towards sustainability and humanity. is honoured to be part of this project, which aligns with our nation’s SG30/30 initiative.
We salute Pasir Ris Crest Secondary School team for their hard work and inspiring efforts!
Also, a special shout out to Pasir Ris East CC for their post-harvest logistical help collecting and distribution of the fresh produce. Without them, the last mile supply chain would not be possible.

For someone who has never studied biology, learning the human mechano-sensory system, brain, neurons is very challenging. But why do I want to go through this pain? Plants and human beings share similarities in a lot of ways. Only by learning our inner workings can I understand plant’s behavior.

Bedok View Sec - hard at work during the Playing Farmer Bootcamp

Bond-Grow-Fun
They are the Green Ambassadors of Bedok View Secondary School.
I am delighted to meet and spend the day with our next generation of advocates of sustainability and food security during their school holiday.
We were blessed with good weather making the bootcamp more bearable. They started the day in high spirits and continued having fun through this experiential learning journey. I actually heard them singing nonstop while working in the farm😂. To a lot of them, it was an eye opener. They didn’t realise so much work are involved before the vegetables land on their dining table.
Well done and congratulations on your completion of the bootcamp, Bedok View Secondary School! 👏🏻We are so proud of you.
I hope you will remember this unique experience and continue to do great work in your school’s green projects. I look forward to seeing them the next time we meet.
Also, thank you, NetaFarm for having us and letting us disturb your peaceful environment.

The students began their farming journey being squirmish, refusing to touch and disliking the smell of soil. Despite their rough start, they soon got the hang of things and began their love-hate relationship with farming, finally reaching the highlight of their journey - harvesting. Their excitement were apparent, bringing the fruit of their labour home to enjoy with their family.
Hard work and patience are something they learnt from this journey.
Well done, Ngee Ann Sec, for completing your first farm cycle.
We look forward to the next phase of your journey.

We are definitely cooking something.... Due to the complexities of our Grand Plan, it'll take a while before our dish is complete.
Stay tune.

The honeymoon period (seeding process) is over and now comes the hard part 😆. The one common sentence (for this week's workshops) I got from the students - "Teacher, my back is breaking...". It finally dawned on them that it's not easy to be a farmer and they shouldn't waste food if they can help it. Despite their physical discomforts, these students (and teacher) persisted and managed to complete this week's tasks: weeding, seedling health check, transplanting.
Well done, Team Ngee Ann Sec! I'm so proud of you.
