🍰 From Gary’s kitchen to the Westbourne community!

Our IB1 student Gary baked a Basque cheesecake to share with students today - and it was every bit as good as it looked.
Soft, fluffy and beautifully moist, with just the right amount of sweetness. Safe to say, it was gone in seconds!

A lovely example of the little ways our multi-talented students contribute to life at Westbourne and perk up our mornings🤍

We were delighted to welcome Dr. Coby Wong as the speaker for our recent Global Industry Masterclass.

An environmental, health & safety, and social professional with nearly three decades of experience, Dr. Wong shared insights into her education and career journey, reflecting on the importance of the next generation’s impact on the Earth.

One message stood out clearly: understand the context you are in and recognise your strengths within that context to succeed in what you do.

Thank you, Dr. Wong, for an informative and thoughtful session that encouraged our students to think deeply about their future development and the difference they can make.

Science isn't just something we study in the classroom.... it's all around us.🔬

This week, our students were inspired by Crystal Tang , STEM educator and PhD scholar at NTU Medicine, who shared her journey into science and the experiences that fuelled her passion for the subject.

A memorable highlight came when each student received a fidget toy that Crystal had designed and 3D printed herself, showing how science, engineering, and creativity shape even the simplest everyday objects.

Thank you, Crystal, for such an engaging Global Industry Masterclass and for giving our students a hands-on reminder of the power of STEM in the real world.

Congratulations to our incredible Class of 2026! 🎓

Today, we celebrate not only outstanding IB results, but the hard work, resilience, and ambition of every one of our graduates.

Our Singapore campus highlights include:

⭐ 60% of students progressing to STEM degree programmes at top global universities achieved 41+ points.
⭐ Nearly 40% of students across the graduating class achieved 41+ points.

The results surpass A*A*A* at A Levels, and place our students in the Top 1-2% of students globally.

These achievements reflect what makes Westbourne different. Through intentionally small classes, personalised learning, and exceptional teaching, we help every student maximise their potential and prepare for success beyond the classroom.

As our graduates embark on degrees in Medicine, Law, Engineering, Computer Science, Accounting, and the Sciences at leading universities across Singapore, the UK, Australia, continental Europe, and beyond, we couldn't be prouder.

🚀 What an incredible week at Future Leaders Lab 2026!

Students from across Singapore, the UK, and Australia came together for an immersive week of leadership, entrepreneurship, innovation, strategy, AI, and real-world business learning.

Led by Adjunct Professor Adrian Johnson of INSEAD - Programme Director of the INSEAD Summer School and a respected advisor, educator, and mentor to executives and entrepreneurs worldwide - students explored concepts typically encountered in elite university and MBA programmes, challenging themselves to think bigger, communicate more effectively, and lead with confidence.

Most importantly, it was fantastic to see both Westbourne and non-Westbourne students build friendships, exchange ideas, and grow together throughout the week.

A huge thank you to Professor Adrian Johnson, our guest speakers, industry partners, and every student who brought such energy, curiosity, and ambition to the programme.

We can't wait to do it all again for Future Leaders Lab 2027!

As we draw near to the end of AY25/26, Westbourne students celebrated their hard work in the semester exams with an escape room retreat🔓🚪

Putting the learning processes and problem-solving skills they learnt in the classroom to excellent use, they achieved a 100% clear rate!💯

The thrills proved a refreshing breather from the exam period as they gear up for the break - hopefully slaying any summer scaries along the way👻

Learning comes alive when students can see science in action!⚡

This week, our students explored the fascinating world of Electricity and Magnetism through hands-on experiments using a specialised Science Laboratory Kit. Guided by our PhD teacher Dr Chiew, they investigated how electrical energy can be transformed into different forms through real-world applications.

Engaging, interactive, and fun - it’s all part of our STEM-focused approach at Westbourne College (Singapore), where students don't just learn scientific concepts, they bring them to life.

Last week's Global Industry Masterclass gave our students an inspiring insight into a different side of STEM, as we welcomed Michelle Khoo, Senior Physiotherapist and Founder of FLEXFIT Physiotherapy .physi0

Michelle shared her experiences working across sports rehabilitation, movement science, injury prevention, and more.. highlighting how science, biomechanics, healthcare, and technology increasingly work hand-in-hand in modern physiotherapy.

Students were especially engaged during a live physiotherapy demonstration with one of our students, bringing the profession to life in a truly interactive way.

Michelle was an absolute hit with our students, who surrounded her afterwards with questions and conversations about careers, rehabilitation, sports science, and much more. A fantastic session showcasing the many exciting pathways within STEM that our students can aspire to be!💪

This week’s Global Industry Masterclass at Westbourne College (Singapore) welcomed Artavazd Balaian a software engineer with experience in systems engineering, coding, and AI-driven technologies 💻

Art shared insights from his journey in tech, helping students explore how AI is reshaping engineering and software development while reinforcing the importance of human judgement, creativity, and problem-solving.

The session drew strong interest, with many students staying behind to ask Art further questions about STEM, coding, engineering, and AI careers.

We're delighted our Global Industry Masterclasses give students the opportunity to engage with leading professionals and gain real-world perspectives beyond the classroom.
