Our Queenstowners came together in high spirits to celebrate Singapore's 61st National Day with pride, gratitude and unity.

The celebration began with a march-in of the Singapore flag by members of our Uniformed Group CCAs, reminding our Queenstowners of the significance of our national flag and the shared identity that unites us as Singaporeans.

We were also privileged to welcome an officer from the Republic of Singapore Air Force, ME4 Dylan Berlandier, who gave an inspiring sharing about the important role the RSAF plays in safeguarding our skies and going beyond to serve our nation.

The excitement continued with lively National Day quizzes, where students put their knowledge to the test by completing the lyrics of our National Day songs. To end the celebration on a high note, everyone came together to learn and perform the very first Queenstown Wave, our own special version of the iconic Kallang Wave!

As we celebrate Singapore's journey, may we continue to cherish our shared heritage, strengthen the bonds that unite us and play our part in building a brighter future together.

As part of our Anti-Drugs Campaign, interactive displays were set up at the foyer during the P4–P6 recesses from 20–22 July.

Students stopped by to explore the posters and pledge their support by adding their names to the pledge board. Together, they reaffirmed their commitment to leading meaningful, healthy, drug-free lives while encouraging others to stay away from drugs.

Every pledge is a step towards building a stronger, safer, and healthier community. 🌱

Our Queenstowners came together to celebrate Racial Harmony Day through meaningful experiences that deepened their appreciation of Singapore's rich multicultural heritage.

During recess, students immersed themselves in the vibrant spirit of Chingay through the interactive My Little Chingay Float activities, discovering its colourful history through exciting games and hands-on experiences.

A special highlight of the day was a storytelling session by our Grassroots Adviser and Member of Parliament, Eric Chua, who shared My Little Chingay Truck with a group of Primary 2 students. Through the story, students were encouraged to embrace diversity, celebrate our shared heritage, and appreciate the importance of community.

As we weave together the unique cultures, traditions, and stories that make up our nation, we continue to nurture caring citizens who live with GRACE, value one another's differences, and strengthen the bonds that unite us as one Singapore. 🇸🇬

Little acts of kindness make a big difference. 💙✨
Our Primary 1 students warmly welcomed their K2 buddies through the K2 Befriender Programme, showing the values of Care and Empathy every step of the way. From guiding them around the school, playing and learning together, to helping them during recess, our P1 students made their buddies feel safe, welcomed, and excited about primary school.
The friendship began with heartfelt letter writing before the visit and ended with thoughtful reflections and thank-you letters after the programme—creating memories and meaningful connections that will last beyond the day.
We are so proud of our young befrienders for making our K2 friends feel right at home! 💌🌟

🇸🇬🤝🇨🇳 From Suzhou to Singapore – Welcome to Queenstown Primary School!

What began with our students' Overseas Learning Journey to Fangzhou Primary School in Suzhou came full circle recently as we welcomed our friends from China to Queenstown Primary! ❤️

Our P5 Student Ambassadors were absolutely delighted to host their buddies and share what school life in Singapore is like. Together, they shared a wonderful itinerary:

🎨 Creative Tech: Created digital artwork using educational technology. 🏫 Campus Tour: Explored our school grounds through a guided tour led by our students. 🍜 Local Flavours: Experienced ordering breakfast at our school canteen and sampled local favorites. ⚽ Playtime: Bonded over sports and free play, where laughter became a language everyone understood.

Beyond the daily activities, this exchange was truly about building cross-border friendships, appreciating different cultures, and creating memories that will last a lifetime. 🌏✨

Our Primary 5 students enjoyed themselves during the recent NE show! Beyond celebrating our nation, they demonstrated what it means to be Caring Citizens by playing their part to keep the stadium clean and showing respect for the shared spaces around them.

Being accountable for every small action reflects our commitment to caring for our community and our nation.

Together, we continue to grow as Queenstowners who lead with heart and make a positive difference.

On 20 July, we proudly celebrated Girls' Brigade Day, joining GB companies across Singapore in giving thanks for the rich legacy of The Girls' Brigade Singapore, which marks its 99th anniversary this year.
Our GB girls gathered to commemorate this special occasion and were reminded that every act of service, no matter how small, can make a meaningful difference. As The Girls' Brigade looks towards its centenary next year, this year's message encouraged every girl to reflect on three important questions:
• Where will I serve?
• Who will I serve with?
• Who do I need to become?
The message also challenged our girls to broaden their vision of service, build meaningful partnerships, and grow into servant leaders who lead with humility, courage, honour and generosity.
We are proud of our GB girls for living out these values through their commitment to serving others and making a positive impact in our school community. We hope they will continue to grow as compassionate leaders who bring hope to those around them.

What a week it has been! 🎉📚
Our school came alive with the magic of words, wonder, and fun during our English Language Week – FUSE (Fun Using English)! From the moment the week kicked off, our students threw themselves into every activity with energy, creativity, and lots of laughter.
Our young learners explored interactive games, cracked tricky riddles, and levelled up their vocabulary — quite literally — through Vocabulary Basketball! Our budding storytellers took centre stage at the Expression Zone, impressing everyone with their confidence and imagination in the 1-Minute Story Challenge.
Classes came together for friendly competitions that sparked teamwork and school spirit, while Book Character Day brought beloved storybook characters to life in the most delightful way. The highlight for many? Our Author Sharing Sessions, where students got a rare glimpse into the world of storytelling and discovered just how far reading and writing can take them.
None of this would have been possible without our wonderful teachers, our amazing parent volunteers, and of course, our enthusiastic students who made every moment shine. 🌟

In the first week of Term 3, our Primary 5 students took part in their Values-in-Action (VIA) program, where they gained a deeper understanding of the experiences of persons with visual impairments through an engaging session with the guides from Dialogue in the Dark.
By listening to the guides' personal stories and participating in experiential activities such as scanning QR codes while blindfolded and having recess in the dark, students developed greater empathy and appreciation for the daily challenges faced by the visually impaired.
To express their gratitude, students created handmade tokens of appreciation for the guides. They also collaborated to design interactive games for their Primary 1 and Primary 2 schoolmates, raising awareness about the experiences of persons with visual impairments and fostering empathy, respect, and inclusivity within our school community.
