โ๏ธ๐จ๐ณ From Suzhou to Shanghai: Our Studentsโ Unforgettable China Learning Journey!
Our students recently wrapped up an incredible Overseas Learning Journey to China from 17 to 22 May! A major highlight of the trip was our meaningful collaboration with our partnership school, Fangzhou Primary School, where our students immersed themselves in local school life and forged deep, cross-border friendships.
Traveling between Suzhou and Shanghai, our students truly stepped out of their comfort zones to experience history, culture, and innovation firsthand. Some of our favorite highlights included:
๐จ Cultural Exchanges: Exploring Fangzhou Primaryโs eco-gardens, painting traditional Taihu Stones, and sharing a taste of Singapore (Milo and Kaya toast!) with our gracious hosts.
๐งฑ Living History: Marveling at the ancient Panmen Gate, Tiger Hill Pagoda, and the beautiful, misty water town of Tongli.
๐ฅ Culinary & Modern Wonders: Learning the art of folding Xiaolongbao at Nanxiang, and diving deep into science at Shanghaiโs Natural History and Astronomy Museums.
๐ The Grand Finale: Taking in the breathtaking views of the iconic Shanghai skyline along The Bund!
To wrap up this meaningful trip, our teachers proudly presented special accolades to celebrate students who demonstrated exceptional attitudes throughout the journey. Congratulations to the recipients of the:

๐โจ Celebrating Language, Culture, and Shared Experiences at Mother Tongue Language Fortnight (MTLF) 2026! โจ๐
During the last two weeks of the term, our Queenstown Primary students immersed themselves in a vibrant celebration of language and culture through a wide range of exciting hands-on activities! From traditional games and crafts to music, storytelling and cultural experiences, students had the opportunity to deepen their appreciation for their Mother Tongue languages during the MTLF in meaningful and joyful ways. ๐จ๐ถ๐
A special highlight this year was our Primary 2 programme, where students not only explored activities connected to their own language and culture, but also stepped out of their comfort zones to experience traditions from different cultures. Through these shared experiences, students developed greater curiosity, respect and appreciation for Singaporeโs rich multicultural heritage.
The fortnight beautifully reflected our school values and dispositions as students demonstrated Care, Adaptability and Resilience while learning together across cultures. โค๏ธโจ
Enjoy the snapshots of our students learning, exploring and having fun together! ๐๐ธ

โจ Live with GRACE, Reach with IMPACT! โจ
On 15 May, the Queenstown Primary School spirit was on full display during our annual Sports Day! Our school was filled with cheers, high energy, and incredible sportsmanship as students and teachers, too, gave their all in a vibrant mix of games. ๐โโ๏ธ๐จ
Embodying our school motto, โLive with GRACE, Reach with IMPACTโ, our students didn't just competeโthey actively practiced our core GRACE values of Gratitude, Resilience, and Care, while demonstrating key IMPACT dispositions like Collaboration and Adaptability through excellent teamwork. ๐คโค๏ธ
This year featured two incredibly meaningful highlights:
๐ฅ Inclusive Games: Students participated in activities that simulated different physical challenges. This powerful hands-on experience raised disability awareness, helping everyone develop deep empathy and respect for athletes with disabilities.
๐ P1 & P4 Collaboration: Our Primary 1 and Primary 4 students teamed up for special cross-level activities, building beautiful friendships and fostering a truly supportive sporting culture across the school.
Thank you to all the teachers, staff, and students who made this day an unforgettable success. Check out the highlights from the morning below! ๐๐ธ

This May, we are celebrating our QtPS birthday stars who share their birth month with three extraordinary Change Makers: humanitarian Audrey Hepburn, the pioneer of modern nursing Florence Nightingale, and legendary naturalist Sir David Attenborough!
Just like Audrey Hepburn, may our Queenstowners lead with Empathy and show Gratitude for the beauty in the world and the people around them. Inspired by the "Lady with the Lamp," Florence Nightingale, let our students be Resilient through challenges and show unwavering Care for their community.
Taking a leaf from Sir David Attenboroughโs book, may they remain Mindful of our environment and stay Proactive in their curiosity to learn about the world we share. By being Tenacious in their pursuits and Accountable for their actions, our birthday stars can truly carry forward the legacy of these great visionaries.
Happy Birthday to all our Queenstowners born in May!
