Our little explorers had an exciting trip to River Wonders as part of their Chinese inquiry on wildlife and pandas! 🐼🌿

The children observed the pandas up close, learnt about their habitats and diet, and made meaningful connections to what they have been discussing in class. From spotting different animals to sharing their thoughts and questions, it was a day filled with curiosity and discovery.

Learning truly comes alive when children experience it beyond the classroom - and this was one unforgettable adventure at Lily Valley!

Saving paper, saving trees! 🌱🌳

This year, our Remida Day was all about discovering how we can protect our trees by reducing paper usage.

Our children and parents spent a joyful morning together, filled with songs, dances, and lots of laughter through interactive games. 🎶💃

From bowling to ring toss, and even a hands-on station where little ones got to make their own paper, every activity was thoughtfully created using recycled materials — from newspapers to cardboard and magazines. ♻️

A meaningful day of fun, creativity, and learning, reminding us that even the smallest actions can make a big difference for our Earth. 🌍✨

It’s time to upskill! 🌿

Yesterday, our teachers attended a workshop by Let’s Learn Outside!, where they explored how to better utilise our outdoor spaces and resources to enrich our children’s outdoor learning experiences.

It was a fun and fruitful session, and our teachers also had the opportunity to exchange ideas and share helpful tips with one another.

We’re excited to bring these new ideas into our outdoor spaces and create even more meaningful and engaging outdoor experiences for our children! 🌱✨

Our K1s had a special visit from Nurse Shu Wei, who taught them some basic bandaging skills! 🩹

The children were full of curiosity and asked thoughtful questions like, “Why did you choose to become a nurse?” and “What should I do if I injure my eye?”

To wrap up the session, the children presented their appreciation cards to Nurse Shu Wei. It was a meaningful learning experience as they discovered more about how nurses help care for others. 💛

Last week, our K2s visited the supermarket as part of their inquiry into how food choices affect their health. 🛒🥦

During the visit, the children explored a wide variety of food, identified healthier options like fruits and vegetables, and observed how items are organised. The trip helped them to connect their classroom learning to real-life experiences while practising simple, healthy decision-making.
