Our name begins where the piano begins. Before the piano became the instrument we know today, keyboard music sounded very different.

The harpsichord could produce beautiful sound, but it had one major limitation: the player had far less control over softness and loudness through touch.
Then came Bartolomeo Cristofori, an Italian instrument maker whose invention changed the future of music. His early piano was known as “gravicembalo col piano e forte”.

That idea may sound simple now, but it changed everything. For the first time, a keyboard instrument could respond more deeply to the player’s touch. A note could whisper. A phrase could grow. Music could breathe with greater expression.
And that became our name, and also a constant reminder of where this journey began. Cristofori Music, is a pure Singaporean piano company that upholds this rich heritage, offering high-quality pianos for all musicians and providing all the professional piano services, to ensure its legacy for generations.
