Rave Harps

Rave Harps Rave Harps, founded by award-winning harpist Katryna Tan, is Singapore's leading Harp Academy and to Rave Harpers is Singapore’s leading Harp orchestra.

The Rave Harps Academy has been in Singapore for more than 10 years, changing the musical landscape for the harp in the region. We have nurtured a whole generation of young harpists, from as young as 5 years old and shaped them into outstanding musicians who enjoy the harp and enjoy making music. Many of our students have taken a step beyond just our shores and have won international competitions

in Japan, Thailand, France and the United Kingdom. Many of our graduates have also taken up the instrument professionally and pursued tertiary studies in harp at exclusive and prestigious music schools. Students of Rave Harps Academy also have the opportunity to join the Rave Harpers. Led and directed by Young Artist award winner Katryna Tan, this group was formed in year 2004 and has since performed in various musical events and concerts. And for our most advanced performers, the Virtuoso Category offers the opportunity to curate your own 20-minute programme and showcase your artistry.

🇸🇬 Happy National Day, Singapore! ❤️🤍

Today, we celebrate the country we proudly call home. We couldn't think of a more meaningful way to celebrate than by sharing a little piece of Singapore with the world.

We have just concluded an unforgettable week at the World Harp Congress 2026 in Toronto, Canada, where nearly 100 delegates from Singapore came together to represent our nation. We were honoured to be one of the largest international delegations, second only to the host countries, the USA and Canada.

What made this experience even more special was the opportunity to present not 1, but 2 performances on the international stage. Our Rave Harpers Adult Ensemble showcased a programme featuring Singaporean works, while our Raver Harpers & RAMP Violin Ensemble performed the original Singapore-produced harp musical, Pluck & Pizz, wowing the audiences from around the world.

Throughout the congress, we were also inspired by extraordinary concerts, masterclasses, lectures, exhibitions, and workshops, and had the privilege of meeting some of the world's most renowned harpists. We return home with fresh inspiration, new friendships, and wonderful memories.

Most importantly, we are incredibly proud to have shared Singapore's musical voice through works by our talented local composers, including Dick Lee, Julian Wong, Katryna Tan, Phang Kok Jun, Albert Tay and more. Bringing Singaporean music to an international audience has been a true honour.

A big shoutout to our Singaporean team - students, teachers and family. Bravo to all of you! 👏

As we celebrate Singapore's 61st birthday, we are reminded that no matter where we are in the world, we carry a piece of home with us through our music.

What an incredible journey it has been for our Rave Harpists here in Toronto! 🇸🇬❤️🇨🇦

Over the past few days, we’ve been immersing ourselves in the amazing atmosphere of One Harp World—learning from inspiring artists, making new friends from around the world, sharing ideas, and celebrating our love for the harp. Every moment has been a wonderful reminder that music truly knows no borders.

Of course, amidst all the fun and excitement, there’s been plenty of practice too! 🎶 We’re putting the finishing touches on our performances, and we can’t wait to share them with everyone.
