Our Mud kitchen

The Kanopy mud kitchen is an excellent outdoor and nature play experience where our children enjoy the magic, and excitement, of nature play. It connects children with nature and they develop an appreciation for the environment.

This immersive messy play aids in language development and cognitive growth. Children learn to problem solve through social interaction by sharing ideas. The use of real tools in play situations develops their motor skills.

This type of open-ended nature-based mud play encourages creative thinking. It allows children to freely create without the fear of making mistakes. This aids in a child’s sense of self, and helps build confidence.

Kanopy encourages curiosity, exploration and experimentation via open-ended mud play, which allows a child’s imagination to flourish.

What are Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)?

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals, were adopted by the United Nations in 2015 as a universal call for countries to live in a sustainable manner.

The 17 SDGs are indeed integrated. They recognise that action in one area will affect outcomes in others, and that development must balance social, economic and environmental sustainability.

Kowabunga! Global supports Sustainable Development in key areas such as Curriculum Development on Sustainability / Education for Sustainable Development, Education Technology (EdTech) in Sustainability Education; and Training & Skill Upgrading for educators, practitioners and professionals who are keen to know more about Sustainable Development.

Follow us for more updates on the 17 SDGs…and how all of us are able to incorporate Sustainability in our lives.

Children are naturally curious and messy play engages young children to explore various senses and develop language, social and communication skills while playing.

And the added bonus? Messy play can be conducted in nature! Natural materials are open-ended and easily adapted while nature gives children a space to test out new ideas and experiences. Psst, looking for a programme that brings messy play outdoors in nature? Slide into our DM for more information.

Play is such an integral part of children's early years milestones.

Here at Kanopy Forest Preschool, children are given space to play and explore because we believe that the act of playing allows children to learn and pick up essential skills that will help them take on future challenges with confidence.

Did you know? During the Lunar New Year, families will hang the 福 (fu, which means prosperity) writing upside down as they believe that this will cause prosperity to descend on their house.

This Chinese New Year, our Kanopy Forest Preschool children embraced the Chinese culture and tried their hands at Chinese calligraphy.

Cultural festivities is such a fun way for young ones to learn about traditional customs as developing them into global citizens who are sensitive and respectful towards other cultures.
