This little girl has been truly remarkable. She has always looked forward to her classes, and now that graduation is here, she asked me what she’ll do on a public holiday if there’s no school and no reading class. 🥹
I absolutely love how much she enjoys reading and how she’s always eager for new challenges. At just four years old, she’s already such a fluent reader.
You’re going to do amazing things! 💜💜💜

In the blink of an eye, she’s completed her reading programme. She started at Level 1 when she was just three years old, and now, at five, she’s finished the entire (coded) reading series.
I’m incredibly proud of her tenacity and her eagerness to learn each and every week. With her ever present smile, she’s been an absolute joy to teach ! 💜💜💜

We’ve got another graduate from our reading programme! He started with us in June and needed until January/February next year to complete the (coded) reading programme. However, his parents trusted me to help prepare him for Primary One by adding extra classes so he could finish the syllabus before the end of the term. And we did it! Now, he’s articulate and confident (sometimes a little too confident 😅). So proud of you, Lukey! You’re all set for Primary 1! See you next year! ♥️
1-1 lessons mean that the teacher is always player 2! We played extra games today because someone’s moving up to the reading level! I love teaching the reading level! It’s the most rewarding!

After kids have gained mastery with phonemes, they can move on to letter sound recognition. And they’re that much closer to reading. 🤩

Being a teacher to these little ones mean that I get the privilege of watching them blossom and grow. She was so tiny when I first started teaching her (I still think she is!). Boyyyyy do they grow fast! She used to stick 3 stickers (a few months ago) and called it a day. 😂 Today, she completed the whole thing and showed it to me with the biggest smile. 🥹♥️

Blending sounds like a simple task but it’s actually a key skill that lays the foundation for reading and writing.
For kids, learning to blend sounds together helps them decode words. But how can we make this process even more engaging? The secret is using hands-on materials and allowing kids to give their input.
Here, my little cutie, wanted to use rainbow colours. He also suggested practising blending both 3-sound and 4-sound words in a pattern. Absolutely!
