Blending is a foundational reading skill that helps children become independent readers. It is the process of combining individual letter sounds (phonemes) to read a whole word. For example, when a child can blend the sounds /c/ /a/ /t/, they can read the word ‘cat.’

Here we go again! Another graduate from our reading programme! 🤩😍

What a joy it has been teaching this little girl. Always so cheerful, she would laugh at herself whenever she stumbled over a word, then bravely try again without giving up.

I truly admire her jovial spirit and unwavering tenacity. You’re gonna rock it in Grade 1, SUPERSTAR! 🎖️

We have another graduate with us! 🥳

He started the programme on an intensive schedule before transitioning into a regular student and he has worked hard every step of the way. He always gives his best in class, approaches every challenge with determination and continues to make wonderful progress.

I am incredibly proud of all that he has achieved and of how well he is doing in school. Watching his growth and confidence blossom has been such a joy.

Well done, cutie! Keep shining and reaching for the stars. ❤️🧡💜

Struggling to Get Your Child Interested in Reading? Try These 5 Play-Based Phonics Games
No worksheets. No forcing. No extra screen time.

If your child:
* Loses focus the moment reading starts
* Prefers screens over books
* Gets frustrated with phonics
You’re not alone. Many parents try flashcards, assessment books or apps. But instead of improving, your child becomes less interested over time.

Here’s What Most Parents Don’t Realise
👉 Kids don’t hate reading.👉 They hate how it’s taught.
When you turn phonics into play, your child:
* Pays attention longer
* Participates willingly
* Learns faster (without pressure)

5 Simple Phonics Games You Can Play Today (Little/No Prep Needed)

1. 🧱 Jenga PhonicsDraw pictures or write letters/words on Jenga blocks.

2. 🎳 Phonics BowlingSet up cups or bottles with pictures, letters or words.

3. 🎲 Phonics Board Games(Think Snakes & Ladders or “Help The Animal Find Its Way Home”)

4. 👀 I Spy Phonics“I spy something that starts with ‘s’…”Your child guesses objects around them.

5. 🏁 Phonics Race

First to find something gets a point!

A Simple Tip That Makes All the Difference
You don’t need more teaching.
You just need:✔ Short, consistent play✔ A low-pressure environment✔ The right kind of activities
That’s what builds real reading confidence.
