🔑✨MSBT Graduate Interview Sunny Shen (Shen Lingyu) – Founder of Echo

In today’s AI-powered world, trust in finance is more important than ever. Echo, a decentralized AI payment layer, is designed to make transactions secure, transparent, and private. The project is led by Sunny Shen, a recent graduate of NTU’s MSBT programme and founder & CEO of Martx, incubated at Hong Kong Science Park.

Before joining MSBT, Sunny’s understanding of blockchain was limited to cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and basic knowledge of smart contracts, which he didn’t fully appreciate.

Through the programme, however, he developed a deep understanding of blockchain technology—not just as a technical innovation, but as a transformative force in the financial world. The concepts of efficiency, security, and low-cost transactions have convinced him of blockchain’s potential to disrupt traditional finance.

During his time at MSBT, Sunny actively participated in global hackathons, experiencing the fast-paced growth of the blockchain market firsthand and discovering its immense potential.

Today, his project Echo leverages decentralized TEE nodes to provide non-custodial AI payment services with privacy-preserving proofs, and has already released a demo and secured its first users. With plans to raise USD 500,000 and launch an MVP in February 2026—with support from the MSBT platform—Sunny is poised to make a significant impact in the AI-finance space.

Graduate Story ICCTF MSBT – Yin Haobai

With a strong technical background, Haobai excelled in programming but had little foundation in finance.

At MSBT, he encountered the course Token Economics, where he learned to approach challenges through the lens of finance—
and discovered the dual pillars of blockchain: finance + technology.

Beyond the classroom, one of his most unforgettable experiences was ETH Global in Thailand last summer.

It was like competing in “hard mode”: unfamiliar technologies, uncertainty about product direction, and even language barriers.
Step by step, he pushed through—and in the end, he not only completed the project but also achieved a personal breakthrough.

If the Haobai who first arrived in Singapore could meet the person he is today, his past self would be amazed.

Because now, his courage has taught him to find opportunities within volatility and change.
Through a year of hard work, he has even built his own project, ready to face the future with confidence and determination.

✨ Come hear his story.
